He was so friendly he would have helped robbers carry off my stuff. He was a baby all of his life. And he thought I was mommy. He was named after Anubis the jackal-headed god of the dead. Anubis presided over funerals and guided the dead through the underworld and into the kingdom of heaven.

These two sleeping puppies are Hapi & Bambie. Of course you know which one is Bambie.(The fawn one.) You know the most famous fawn in the world!!! The red one is Hapi. I know, you are wondering why the weird spelling (I know, weird things from weird people.) But seriously, his name is Egyptian. Hapi was one of the four sons of Horus and Isis who guarded the lungs and was portrayed as dog-headed.

This is Hapi at nine months. I used this graphic to make one of the awards that I give out.

And, this pretty baby is Rocky. Our newest acquisition. When Hapi died I think my son missed him most. Hapi was his buddy. Hapi went everywhere Donovan went in the yard. I decided to get a puppy for his birthday. I found a women that had bought him for her son but, he didn't want the dog. So, we took him. He was already named. I gave my son the option to rename him but, he said that he liked Rocky.
