Lady Marguerite Blakeney's younger brother Armand St. Just is an important member of the league of the Scarlet Pimpernel, due to his French citizenship and his obvious connection with the Blakeneys. His notable bravery and cool head in the face of danger make his service invaluable. Since the marriage between Sir Percy and Lady Blakeney has become somewhat estranged, Armand has become Marguerite's sole care, causing her great worry when he is put into danger. Fortunately, she has no idea of his allegance with one of the most daring bands of the day.
