The next morning Faith brought Lucas a new shirt, white with blue diagonal stripes to match his eyes, and he appreciated it.
“Oh thanks, now you get to dress me, I think I’m going to like this,” he said teasing her as he prepared to leave.
She confessed to buying the shirt after the last time he came to visit her; he thought that it was sweet of her. Karen had left him jeans and a change of underwear when she visited the day before. After he put the shirt on he pulled her close for another kiss and that as what they were doing when the nurse brought the wheelchair in for him to leave.
Faith wheeled him down to exit doors where her car waited.
They decided to grab some breakfast and head to her father’s place, he is a truck driver and frequently out of town, for some privacy. Her parents divorced years go. After breakfast she gave him the grand tour of the house, though little had changed.
Once they were in faith’s room they undressed one another and laid on the bed; they touched, kissed, explored one another, they enjoyed the changes that had occurred in one another's body since the last time they spent intimate time together. The times Lucas visited recently had been more confusing than comforting to Faith.
Lucas still loved the feel of her soft skin against his fingers and she enjoyed his manly body the way his chest and stomach were hard; though they never had sex before.
“Are you sure?” he asked concerned that he might hurt her or she might feel rushed.
“Yes,” she said with a nod and a smile as she bit her lip a little nervous.
Lucas didn’t doubt that Faith hadn’t been with anyone else but he was certain when they were together; it touched him that she waited. She could have whomever she wanted; she smart and beautiful and sassy, but she waited for me; I’ll have to find a way to show her what that means to me.
"I'm glad I waited for you; I wouldn't have wanted to share that with anyone else," she said as she lay in his arms after the first time.
"I'm glad you did too," he said kissing her on the head as he held her.
They made love and talked for over two hours before Faith suggested they should get going if they wanted to stop for a movie.
Once they arrived at the mall they bought the tickets and walked the mall while they waited. As they stood in front of a jewelry store, Lucas decided he wanted Faith to pick out something. She didn’t think it was a good idea but he insisted. She chose a pair of amethyst studs for under fifty dollars but he wanted to purchase a pair of diamond studs that were closer to eighty dollars on sale. He put them on her and she was touched by the gesture.
“Just because,” he whispered to her as he put his new credit card in his wallet.
They were outside the theatre kissing while they waited for their movie when Haley and Brooke walked by. Brooke was livid to see Lucas intimately kissing another girl when she was still so hooked on him. Faith was backed against the wall with Lucas’ hands around her bare waist; she was wearing a crop top with a gypsy skirt, a jacket, and boots. Her hands around his neck make the shirt seem even shorter.
“Hey,” Haley said getting their attention.
“Lucas can we talk?” Brooke asked.
“We really need to go in to get our snacks,” he answered looking at his watch as he led Faith inside.
“See you later,” Faith said as they went in.
After driving around while they talked and made plans they stopped at a park before Faith took him home.
“Are you feeling better today?” she asked as she rested against his arm.
“I’m feeling better; you don’t have to worry about me,” he answered smiling at her as he moved closer to make it easier to kiss.
“I’ve been thinking that I might ask my aunt Arlene if I can move back to Tree Hill to live with her; how do you feel about that?”
Lucas thought it was a good idea but he didn’t want her to do it for him since he was willing to continue their relationship where she lives now. He was also concerned about what her mother would say.
“I’ll be eighteen in a month so I’m sure she won’t mind,” she replied as she ran her fingers down his jaw line while he looked in her eyes. I should probably get you home so I can head back.”
He stopped her from turning on the car.
“I would love if you moved back it’s more than I dared hope for,” he said pulling her close for another kiss.
Faith grinned.
When he got out of the car at his home he went around to the driver’s side window to give her a parting kiss he whispered in her ear.
“I loved being with you today; I’m sorry I waited so long to ask you to be with me again,” his said his voice filled with emotion.
“That’s okay I think this was the perfect time; I never stopped hoping,” she said kissing him again.
“Be careful and call me when you get there,” he said as she drove away.
Before he could get inside Brooke appeared out of the shadows.
“What, are you stalking me now?” he said angrily.
“No, but you aren’t been fair to her if you really cared you would have never given up on her the first time.”
“You don’t know what your'e talking about and I’m not in the mood to enlighten you; good night,” he replied going inside.
Faith talked to her aunt Arlene the next day after getting the okay from her mother who was considering another move herself. Arlene agreed so Faith called Lucas with the good news.
