“Tomorrow’s Promise”

Chapter 4
The girls stopped at a restaurant and ate dinner. They weren’t in any hurry so they chilled and hung out in the semi-quiet restaurant for a little while before going to the noisy club. The club wasn’t as packed as they first thought it would be, but there were still a lot of people there. They spotted the guys out on the dance floor, but they didn’t want to approach them yet so they got a table in a corner where the guys couldn’t see them. They ordered some drinks, chatted, and watched all the people dancing. After finishing their first drink, they got bored and split up to go find their men.
Gina found Kevin first because she had her eyes glued on him the minute she saw him. She walked up behind him, leaned in really close and whispered in his ear. “Hey sexy, wanna go in the bathroom and fuck?” she asked then grabbed his ass.
Kevin spun around on his heals and almost shit in his pants. “Jesus baby, you scared the hell out of me. What are you doing here?” he asked wrapping his arms around her as they started to move together to the music.
“Well you guys crashed our party so we decided to crash yours.”
“Good plan.”
“Hey look at what I found!” Lauren said holding onto AJ’s hand as she walked up to Gina and Kevin.
“It’s an AJ! Are you being a good boy?” Gina asked.
“Yes ma’am, I’ve been very good,” AJ said in a little kid voice, making them all laugh.
“He knows to be good, or else,” Lauren said kissing him sweetly.
Rebecca worked her way to where her friends were dancing. She already had a headache, and didn’t really want to be there anymore. “Guys, have you seen Brian? I can’t find him anywhere, that or I’m going blind.”
“The last time I saw him he was leaving the bar and heading towards the back,” Kevin said.
“Ugh! I just came from back there, but I’ll go again.” She put her hand up to her forehead and walked to the back. She sighed with relief when she recognized the back of his head, but her jaw dropped when a pair of hands made their way around his shoulders. She closed her eyes and massaged her temples, hoping that her eyes were playing tricks on her. She opened them as they were turning and the hands were still there, but then she saw the girl. She had blonde hair, a short black skirt, and a tube top. Rebecca watched for a minute as his hands were all over her body and hers all over his. She didn’t leave until he leaned in to kiss the girl. After that she turned around and ran out of the club. Hot tears poured from her eyes, and she leaned against the wall for support. She was nauseous, her head was pounding, and her heart was breaking into a million pieces. She was about to start walking when Gina ran out.
“Hey! What’s up? Whoa! Why are you crying?” Gina asked.
“I found Brian…”
“Uh oh… what happened?”
“He was dancing in the back with this girl… they had their hands all over each other! He was about to kiss her!” she cried as Gina put her arm around her.
“I am SO going to kill that little hick. I can’t believe him!”
“Gina, he’s supposed to love me! What did I do wrong?”
“You did nothing wrong! It’s all him thinking with the wrong head like most men tend to do every now and then. Stay here, I’m gonna go get Lauren and Hannah.”
Rebecca sat on the ground while Gina was gone. She came back out with them, and Hannah said she’d take her home. Lauren and Gina went back inside to kick some Littrell ass. They went to the back where Brian was and Gina tapped her on the shoulder. “Excuse me, may I cut in?” she asked and Brian knew he was in trouble. “What in the fuck is your deal? You know, Rebecca saw you two together.”
The girl was still hanging on Brian, and Lauren was getting pissed. “Get your nasty hands off of him!” she said but the girl didn’t move, she just gave her a bitch look. “Fine,” Lauren said then punched the girl right in the face.
“Go Lauren!” Gina said then turned back to Brian. “Give me one good reason why I shouldn’t kill you right now!”
“Gina… I’m s-sorry, it didn’t mean any-anything. Oh man, I’m dead. I-I lost her, didn’t I?” his speech was slurred and he reeked of alcohol.
“Damn Brian, what did you do? Pour your drinks on you?”
“He doesn’t look so good,” Lauren said. “We need to get him out of here.”
“Uh… go get Kevin.”
Lauren ran and grabbed Kevin, and with his help they took Brian outside. He could barely stand up, and he kept blabbering about losing Rebecca and how bad he felt. Gina went back inside and talked the bartender into giving her a pitcher of cold water. She took it outside and poured it over Brian’s head.
“What was that for?” he asked lying down on the ground.
“To calm your ass down. I’m glad I won’t be you in the morning, that’s gonna be one hell of a hangover. I’m gonna take this back inside then we can go.”
Kevin was pulling him up off of the ground when she returned. “Kev, you gotta believe me that that girl meant nothing man. She kept giving me drinks and after like three… maybe four… or five… I dunno, but after that I started feeling all funny… and, and I don’t want to lose Bec. I’ll never forgive myself if I do.”
“I know Brian, I know. It’s ok,” Kevin said dragging him to Gina’s car and pushing him into the back seat. Brian curled up into a ball, still babbling.
“Brian, I swear if you puke in my car I will literally kill you,” Gina said after getting into the driver’s seat and starting the engine.
He passed out half way back to his house. Kevin tried to wake him up when they got there but Brian’s only response was a groan. Kevin pulled him out of the car, threw him over his shoulder, and carried him to the front door. Gina rang the doorbell and after a few seconds Rebecca answered the door. “We have a delivery for a Miss Rebecca Thompson,” she said.
“I don’t want him, take him back.”
“You have to take him… plus he’s getting heavy,” Kevin said.
“Go throw him in the trash can or something.”
“I take it you’re feeling better about this whole thing,” Gina said.
“I feel like shit, but I can only imagine what he’s going to feel like in the morning. He’ll deserve it though.”
“Just take him. I had to listen to him for the past 45 minutes blabbing about how sorry he was and that he's so damn scared that you'll leave him. All I have to say is he fucked up big time. I think he is sorry, truly. And I really don't care for the boy." She looked at Kevin, "But I like him? Damn I'm drunk. Anyway, I know he's shit but he wouldn't shut up about you. He doesn't want to lose you."
“Fine, you can dump him in Nick’s old room.”
“You’re going to give him a chance, right?” Gina asked and Rebecca nodded. Kevin came back in rubbing his shoulder. “Do you need anything before we go? Want to talk or anything?”
“Nah, I’m ok. You guys go, thank you though.”
“Call me in tomorrow,” Gina said giving her friend a hug before leaving.
