No one is perfect. Everyone has missed the mark. Just trying to keep the ten
commandments isn't going to keep you from the flames of hell, because we all
have failed at keeping them.
**SECOND, YOU MUST REALIZE AS A SINNER THERE IS A PENALTY FOR SIN.
"For the wages of sin is death"
Romans 6:23
"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and
so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned."
Romans 5:12
If we pay what we owe as sinners, we will have to spend eternity in Hell.
**THIRD, YOU MUST ACCEPT THAT JESUS CHRIST PAID OUR SIN DEBT WHEN HE DIED ON THE CROSS.
"For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the
ungodly."
Romans 5:6
But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us."
Romans 5:8
Christ bore all the sin of the world when He died on the cross. Christ did
this to pay the penalty for us so that we could go to heaven and be with Him.
** FOURTH, YOU MUST,BY FAITH, ACCEPT THAT JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR YOU.
" For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
John 3:16
