Where Do We Go From Here?
There are very few words to say, or that can be said. Simply because, there is a time for talk, and a time for action, and this is a time for action.
“The time to hesitate is through, no time to wallow in the mire” - Light My Fire (lyrics by Jim Morrison)
Words that echo so true, in my life, and in the lives of every American. Hesitation is done, planning is done, no more excuses, no more discussion, no more wondering. This is a time for action. We can debate it all we want, but what’s done is done, and will be done. It is necessary, and right. We can debate about if might does make right, if the means justify the end and that things should never have come to this. Any loss of life is tragic and unfortunate, and we should be a bit saddened that events have lead us to this point in history. But the fact is, they have. So what do we do?
We accept it.
We support our troops and the decisions of our leaders.
We maintain this surge of patriotism in honor of those we have lost, and
those who have dedicated their lives to preserve and return a sense of freedom,
safety and peace to this world.
We continue on with our lives.
We hug our children and loved ones a bit tighter.
We go to work, come
home, continue on our lives as normal.
We keep ourselves informed of the situations, focusing when necessary,
continuing as normal all other times.
We move forward in our new and unsure steps towards this new semblance of
normal.
I want this world to be one that the children of this world can be proud to grow up, lead and be a part of. I support the actions that have been, and will be taken, I dream of a world where these actions are a distant, but always present memory of where we have come from, and where we are going. Tragic, necessary and never, never forgotten. The world will never be the same. It has been said many times, and will be said many more. The world will indeed be a different place for reasons to numerous to mention. But it will be a better world, a stronger world, and one changed forever. A world where we love our neighbors, pity our enemies, and never ever, take anything for granted again. A new world, a new beginning, forged from sadness, solidified in faith and love. I shall do my part, will you?

into light I want to live in
a world of gladness Living in a world

this darkest of times, the light of faith shall lead us home again.
