Petals of Misery
Holding a single rose, I pause in awe
Trying to decide if I should- I chose yes
I lean in and inhale its sweet scent
After one sniff there's no turning back
I begin to spin and spin
Until I can't contain myself
Laughing and smiling uncontrolably
But a sudden stop knocks me down
The rose fades and I know
This "happiness" is only a illusion
A dream of lies to hide my misery
