Ragdoll
I watched from the hall as he beat her
I watched her tears struggling not fall
She crouched on the leather recliner
Guarding her face with her thin hands
She begged him to stop
And apologized for all she had done
But the pleding didn't matter to him
He just kept beating her-
Pounding continuously
I watched helplessly- too scared to move
I just held in my tears and watched
I watched him cuss and scream at her
I watched her blood bubble from her broken skin
It went on for hour
And when he finally stopped and left
Her lip was swollen and eyes red
She looked at me but quickly turned
With a slight limp she went to her room
But there wasn't a next for her
Her internal bleeding killed her in the night
I hated him for beating her-
I hated him for having her die in such pain
For making me blame myself still years after
I hated him
