Lynx Winters Stories

Here, you’ll find a bunch of stories about my main alter ego, Lynx Winters. Yeah, he’s a bad-ass. But he’s a nice bad-ass. Is that possible? I dunno. Could be. Either way, he’s cool. He’s good, he’s evil, he’s a warrior of balance, whatever he is, he is with style. I’m not tooting my own horn here, trust me. I’ve heard on multiple accounts that Lynx is the man. In fact, I’ve never heard of one person who doesn’t like Lynx. Now I know I can’t please everyone, so if you like him, well, that’s your choice to make. I just write this stuff. It’s the only way Lynx gets out of my head.

Bounty with a Red Hood – This was actually written for my English class in September. Our assignment was to take a fairy tale and rewrite it from the perspective of one of the major characters. I chose “Red Riding Hood” from the perspective of the hunter, but I still wasn’t pleased. In order to put my own personal touch into the story, I replaced the hunter with Lynx, and rebuilt the setting around him. The basic plot elements are still there, with a wolf and everything, but I went and messed with a lot of things. It would have been in the local literary magazine if it weren’t so long. Sucks for me, I guess.

Defenders of Evil: Prologue – The start of my ongoing project. In the far future, the forces of Good and Evil gathered to wage a final battle. Two figures, the commander of The Fallen and his lieutenant, seem destined for some great purpose. That is, until they battle the Holy Beacon.

Defenders of Evil: Day 1 – Lynx and Roxy survey what used to be a great military force, now reduced to so much rubble. Time to start living again.

Defenders of Evil: Day 3 – They need a ride. Something fast.
