Goodbye

I felt so alone,
No one to claim as mine
The void couldn’t fill
by associates and family
A person to love me
someone to share my life
Just when I gave up
to my lonely misery
Your presence creeped in
demanding of me a space
I so sheltered and naive,
You educated me
Even as friends
you filled my empty place
I saw how manipulating,
and scheming you could be
Through the years
these two things brought heartache
My sheltered naiveté
made you think I was a fool
Needing to break away
for my hearts sake
You find pleasure
in treating me cruel
I can’t find solace
in these love pains
tear filled sleepless nights
no other made me cry
I played your fool
so I am to blame
You’ll never change,
so I must say Good-bye.
