Note for:   John Wolcott,   approx. 1634 - 30 Sep 1690         Index

Individual Note:
John was a carpenter by trade.

There is much speculation as to the paternal ancestry of
John. Some historians believe he was the son of JohnWolcott of Salem, Massachusetts, and others believe he wasthe son of John Wolcott of Watertown, Massachusetts.Further still, there are some who speculate that JohnWolcott was the son of William Walcott of Salem, althoughthe difference in spelling makes this conclusion much moreunlikely.

If anyone has more convincing evidence to support any of
the above ancestral lines, please feel free to e-mail me atNanDWoodhead@aol.com.
