Below are some pictures I was able to get from the Wildflower Triathlon.  This event is held at Lake San Antonio, near Paso Robles.  It is a sort of "Woodstock" of triathlons.  People camp out for a couple of days before the race, and the Collegiate Championships were held there up until 2002.   It's a great race, and if anyone is interested in getting started, this race will introduce you to the very cool atmosphere that you can experience when doing triathlons.  There are 3 race distances.  The first is a Half-Ironman (1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run), the second is the Olympic Distance (1.5k swim, 40k bike, 10k run), and finally there is the Sprint Triathlon. In the Sprint Triathlon, the competitors use mountain bikes for the ride portion.  The race is run by TriCalifornia Events.  Their website can be found at www.tricalifornia.com.
