My Daily Prayer
thing by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving let your requests
be made known unto God. Phil. 4:6
I bow my head and pray,
And thank the Lord for giving us
This glorious new day.
When the sun shines high above us,
My thanks to God I give
For all His wonderous blessings,
While this earthly life we live.
When the sun sets in the evening,
I kneel beside my bed in prayer,
To thank God for watching over us,
And keeping us in His care.
When the sun rises and sets no more,
And this earth has passed away,
I'll meet my Lord and Savior
In my heavenly home, some day.
