THE THREATS & INTIMIDATION OF SPIRITUAL & PHYCHOLOGICAL WARFARE

But You, O LORD, do not be far from Me; O My Strength, hasten to help Me! Deliver Me from the sword, My precious life from the power of the dog. Save Me from the lion's mouth and from the horns of the wild oxen! You have answered Me. I will declare Your name to My brethren; In the midst of the assembly I will praise You. (Ps 22:19-22)

ENEMY TACTICS:

"And Saul and the men of Israel were gathered together, and pitched by the valley of Elah, and set the battle in array against the Philistines." "And the Philistines stood on a mountain on the one side, and Israel stood on a mountain on the other side: and there was a valley between them." (I Sam. 17:1-3)

a) ism is defined as the real or threatened use of force or violence to coerce, control or command others for the purpose of accomplishing a certain agenda. In other words, using fear, threats and intimidation to change or obstruct certain behavior or beliefs. ism is energized by warring spiritual forces, which seek to oppress the oppressors as much as those whom they ize.

The ists assume a position of great authority over you. They will do this repeatedly through taunting threats, at times in videos, and reports using manipulative tactics in an effort to bring you psychologically and spiritually under their control. "And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set your battle in array? am not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? Choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me. (1 Sam 17:8) b) You will be lead to form an opinion. The tactic is to get you to form a "conditioned response." I say to you: "Act and don't react!" And only take action with the counsel of Almighty God. Don't be enticed by a dare, or an insult. "And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods." (1 Sam 17:43) ...But walk in the Spirit..."This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the of the flesh." (Gal 5:16)

In the battles David fought, he prayed for what was specifically needed in that situation. He did not wish to merely react. He knew that if action must be taken, it had to be what God counseled him to do, to bring victory.

The controlling spirits of ism derive false authority from those who don’t see through this type of manipulation. With discerning of spirits on your part, you will better understand this type of phychological and spiritual warfare. c) Your adversaries may use flattery in their attempt to cause you to see yourself as "superior," in your ability to judge the decisions of the leaders of the country, whom God has told us to pray for. You will be made to think they lack the skill, power, wisdom of the ists, and you should change sides. Terrorist leaders and other authoritarian figures typically use this psychological warfare to their advantage. d) The rules of the ism game change without warning, as your response to them is molded and shaped to their advantage. A person can find themselves giving in to such strategies, and feeling reluctant to question those who are setting themselves up as dictators over us, so we will slowly begin to internalize the oppressors point of view, repressing our own thought processes. Stay in God's word! Don't allow your mind to be bent in any direction contrary to it! e) They will cover their tracks by repeatedly verbalizing their stated objections toward the very tactics they used to manipulate you from the start. Give us the ground we demand or we will do this to harm you or those you love...The threats may be blatent or more subtly insinuated.

Controlling spirits are very clever in continuing to make you think that you are a free thinking, independent person who is in control of his or her own life, when in effect, you are becoming intimidated.

War brings stress on the individuals and families of a nation with symptoms referred to as "delayed stress syndrone." People overreact to the smallest things. Their reaction is part of something larger, than the issue at hand. In this you can recognize what is going on and help. Much of this is peripheral, in that the victims are not physically wounded themselves. They are targets phychologically. The ists target the citizens of the country they are at war with. The news which is reported can be depressing. refuse the counsel of the world. Remember what the Psalmist wrote in Psalm 1:1-2:

"Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord and in His law does he meditate day and night."

There's a ardment of ungodly counsel daily, from a variety of sources. People have opinions at your workplace. Radio, television, magazines, newspapers and friends can all become channels of this negative stream. We must be arm ourselves with the full armour of God, to be able to withstand and overcome such an onslaught.

ARMOUR UP!

"Now the Philistines gathered together their armies to battle, and were gathered together at Shochoh, which belongeth to Judah, and pitched between Shochoh and Azekah, in Ephesdammim." (1 Sam 17:1)

In Ephesians 6:10-18, by the revelation of Yeshua/Jesus to Apostle Paul, Messiah teaches us to "put on (enduo)" (verse 11) and to "take up (analabete) i.e. receive into manifestation)" (verse 13) the "whole armor" of God. With the new birth of "haMashiach/Christ in you (Col. 1:27)", God has given you spiritual ability. You are to "put on" in verse 11 and "take up (analabete) i.e. receive into manifestation)" in verse 13.

There are 9 pieces of armor are mentioned in verses 14 through 18:

Stand therefore, having girded your loins (osphun) with truth (aletheia), and putting on (endusamenoi) the breastplate (thoraka) of righteousness (dikaiosunes), and having shod (hupodesamenoi) the feet in preparation (hetoimasia) of the gospel of peace (eirenes), above all, having taken up (analabontes) shield (thureon) of faith (pisteos), and take (dexasthe) the helmet of salvation (soterion), and the sword (machairan) of the spirit (pneumatos) which is the word of God, and petition (deeseos), praying (proseuchomenoi) in every appropriate time in spirit (pneumati), and unto this same thing, watching (agrupnountes) in all perseverance (proskarteresei), and petition (deesei) concerning all the saints and I (Paul)...

The ninth piece of the armor spoken of is prayer for the needs of one another, i.e., covering each others back in the spiritual fight.

Observing Goliath’s psychological warfare and intimidation, David asked the question:

"What will be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should taunt the armies of the living God?" (I Sam. 17:26).

THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE

Day by day the adversary is taunting and trying to torment us as believers. But our faith is based upon the truth of God's unchanging word.

"Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. 4:1 Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart. 2 But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. 5 For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus' sake. 6 For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 3:17)

Let's be sensitive to the needs around us, and not judgmental, asking: How can we be God's hand extended at this time? The fact that some people appear not to be affected doesn't mean they aren't impacted.

PRAY THAT GOD WILL MAKE HIS ARMY DISCIPLINED, DISCERNING & FILLED WITH THE LIGHT OF REVELATION KNOWLEDGE:

  • Gods word is our full armour.
  • Intercession stirs faith.
  • The Lord can give dreams and visions to encourage you or others.
God promises in Acts 2:17, saying:

"Your young men shall see visions and your old men shall dream dreams," and John 16:13 "I will show you things to come." These weapons of our warfare are not , but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds." God will give us the victory, as we serve Him with our whole hearts! "And the children of Israel returned from chasing after the Philistines, and they spoiled their tents." (1 Sam 17:53)

"And David took the head of the Philistine, and brought it to Jerusalem; but he put his armour in his tent." (1 Sam 17:54)
