High Tea for Children at The White Rose Cottage

The White Rose Cottage is a 100 year old cottage in historic Lowell, Washington, which overlooks the scenic Snohomish River and river valley. At the cottage we feature several types of tea parties for children ages 3-12.

• Dress Up Birthday Tea Party

  Little children love playing dress up and going to birthday parties. The White Rose Cottage combines both into one delightful Birthday Tea Patry. The White Rose Cottage can accommodate up to 15 children. Our Dress Up Birthday Tea Party package includes invitations, decorations, tea (apple juice or hot chocolate can be substituted), a scone with Devonshire cream and jam, tea sandwiches and a birthday cake for dessert. Dress up clothes are provided for each child, a story is read, and the children sing "I'm a Little Teapot" prior to lunch. Two hours should be allotted for the event.

  Tea and cake $18. per child

  Children must be accompanied by at least one older guest and are served a High Tea at a separate table. The High Tea is $19.95 each.

• Miss Manners Tea Party A great way to begin teaching children about manners, traditions, and tea is to have a Miss Manners Tea Party. Guests should arrive at The White Rose Cottage appropriately dressed. A dress is required and a hat is recommended to compliment the occasion. A short lesson is given on table manners and common courtesy. The history of how High Teas originated is explained. Our Miss Manners Tea Party package includes invitations, decorations, tea (apple juice or hot chocolate can be substituted), a scone with Devonshire cream and jam, tea sandwiches and dessert. One and one half hour should be allotted for the event.

• Miss Manners Tea Party $16. per attendee

  Children must be accompanied by at least one older guest. All children are served a High Tea at a separate table and charged $19.95.
