"And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day there shall be one Lord, and his name shall be one." (Zacharias 14:9)
In Deuteronomy 6:4, we read the revelation which God gave to His people Israel:
Hear O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one Lord."
A teacher of the law asked Yeshua/Jesus a question. "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?" {29} "The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: "Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. {30} Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. {31} The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these." {32} "Well said, teacher," the man replied. "You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. {33} To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices." {34} When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, "You are not far from the kingdom of God." And from then on no one dared ask him any more questions." (Mark 12:28-34) NIV)
"My name continually every day blasphemed. Therefore my people shall know my name." (Isa. 52:5)
"For unto us a child is born to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
"This is what the LORD says -- Israel's King and Redeemer, the LORD Almighty: I am the first and I am the last; Apart from me there is no God." (Isaiah 44:6)
"Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One. I died, and behold I am alive for ever and ever." (Revelation 1:17-18)
"But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah… out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel, whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting." (Micah 5:2)
"In the beginning was the Word. And the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. (Genesis 1:1 -- "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth) The Word became flesh and dwelled among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him."
8) Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us." 9) Jesus answered: "Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, "Show us the Father." 10) Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. 11) Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves. 12) I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. 13) And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. (John 14:6-14)
Jesus gives revelation into the singular name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in Matt. 28:19, saying:
..baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit...."
The disciples carried out His command explicitly. Peter defined the command of Yeshua/Jesus on the Day of Pentecost, saying to 3000 Jews who ask: What should we do? He said: Repent, be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For this promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. (Acts 2:38) The apostles carried out baptism by passing on their revelation of haShem/the name of Messiah as Yeshua haMashiach/Jesus Christ, as the Samaritans were converted, (Acts 8:16) at the conversion of the Gentiles, (Acts 10:46-48) and the Ephesians. (Acts 19:5)
