Unfinished boundaries and graphics. The shelf of creepy morbid things is still a blue square of nothingness. Leon can stand on the operating table of doom here. With a shape like that you know the mayor’s daughter isn’t the first person he’s turned into a trophy. Remember the secretary’s second diary that you find in one of the chief’s personal rooms? I wonder how it got there… She was on to him! She’s probably frozen forever in youthful beauty in his attic or basement or something. Sick freak.
Here’s another camera angle:
To Leon’s far left in the corner is the trapdoor the chief gets pulled through. But you cannot go down. There’s a vaguely trapdoor like graphic there. But it looks more like part of the floor at this point. Not sure about the red rectangle. Was there supposed to be something there? It’s been quite awhile since I played as Claire. And looking at the finished room that part of the wall seems a little bit odd.
An interesting thing with the female zombie occurs if you go near the door that leads to the hall with the stuffed tiger. Now she’s on the table:
And if you go through that door…
It’s the hall with the stuffed tiger. Totally unfinished. You can go all the way to the end of the hall. You’ll see a doorway with no door. It’s completely nonfunctional. You cannot go beyond that point.
On to the press room!
This is the only room you can get into along that hallway. The interrogation rooms can’t be entered. The doors are nonfunctional. In this room the boundaries are still unfinished. So Leon is once again being a jerk and walking on tables at his place of work.
Leon: But you made me do it!
That’s not an excuse!
Leon: Sorry… ;_;
He’s fun to mess with isn’t he? >>
Anywaiz… The press room is a lot more messy here. As you can see the wall sculptures haven’t been placed yet and there’s what looks like a sort of old fashioned central heat/AC unit on the back wall. Look at the pipes/thick wires. Looks like it’s got a fuse box on the opposite side too. And there are paintings on the wall as well as a different door with lamps above it. And they changed the wallpaper. From grandma’s sitting room to tacky hotel. What an improvement. -.-
Oh and decorative pillars. They added decorative pillars. I don’t know about you, but I think the look is too busy for a press room. Lighter colored walls and less decorations would really improve the lighting while they are filming press conferences. The entire room screams tacky decadence. But this is Irons so…
Seriously, I think he may be a hoarder. But he organizes his hoard enough so that you don’t really notice. Plus it’s art instead of 25 year old newspapers, rancid garbage and rat droppings. So no one bats an eyelash. He’s not crazy. He’s just eccentric! I swear, if the zombie apocalypse never happened someone would eventually find him dead in his own home. Crushed beneath an avalanche of macabre paintings and young blonde women made beautiful forever through the magic of taxidermy.
Now here’s the opposite end of the room:
There’s no puzzle here. The stove and the three gaslight sculptures are absent. Instead we get a banner, a flag and a bulletin board.
Here’s a close up of that end of the room:
You can walk on the desk from the back. I’m pretty sure that this camera angle isn’t in the retail version.
It looks so detailed and finished. Yet it ended up being changed quite a bit.
The bulletin board is still there. But it’s been moved to the right near one of the cameras. Also, the room has been cleaned up a little. Which is necessary since you wouldn’t be able to reach the picture with the gear embedded in it otherwise.
Also note (if you never noticed before) that the three gaslight sculptures are the same as the reliefs from the room where you place the red jewels.
So this is one room that they really redid quite a bit. But looking at the video, Mr. X goes all Kool Aid Man right through the wall where the American flag would have been. Yeah. I don’t think that would have gone over too well here in the states. So if Mr. X was meant to bust through the wall in the old room too… Although they could have just switched the banner with the flag or something. Or maybe they just wanted to make the lighter more useful. Especially for Claire, who has to actually lug it around in her inventory.
And that’s it. o.o
