You Create Reality

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" or "Do unto others as they have done unto you" or "Do unto others before they do unto you".

One theory of action and re-action but with slightly different perspectives.

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" This first one puts you in control of what happens, expect the best, get the best - expect the worst, get the worst - commonly known
as reap what you sow.

"Do unto others as they have done unto you” By choosing this one you place yourself
at the mercy of everyone else. You are giving up your free will and letting others
decide your fate. You have become a willing victim and it becomes easy to go into
the third saying.

"Do unto others before they do unto you” Expect the worse, then when it
doesn’t happen you are pleasantly surprised, which isn't often. You only
expect the worst so that is what is in your world. OK, maybe once in awhile
you are pleasantly surprised, but wouldn’t you rather be pleasantly surprised
all the time?

Once you realizes just how much you create your own reality, by thought,
word and action, then reality can be whatever you choose. You are responsible
for what happens because you choose to create that action or re-action. The
Power of the Universe and Creation is in you. Using this power is your gift,
using it wisely is your responsibility. If you don't, well, either way you will get
what you deserve.

Another way of saying this is: the world that we live in is the mixture of the noumenal
(a Kantian term that refers to the unknowable world as it is in itself. According to Kant,
we can only know the world as it appears to us, as a phenomenon. We can never know it
as it is in itself, as a noumenon. The adjectival forms of these two words are "phenomenal"
and "noumenal," respectively) world and our selves. Changing our view of life does not change the world, but it changes our world, the one that we interact with. So changes here make changes real to us. As long as we maintain a view of separateness and self we are unable to know the underlying reality. You can become "one with the universe" but you can't step back and just watch it, because you are in it. You can't observe a phenomenon without changing it by your perception of it. There is no such thing as an independent observer.
