Another drab day at school today... Work wasn't so
bad since I can easily find ways to amuse myself. As far as family life
goes, things are rather shaky at the moment as far as grandparents' health
goes. Things are down, then up, then down again. Such is life, I guess.
So vibrantly vivid, and yet sometimes it seems so dreadfully dreary.
-- And just like all other things, we too return to the ground. But
the ground is not the important thing, no. The events of our lives have
some significance, but in the big picture, they are also nothing. You see,
beneath all the pain and struggle and daily occurances of every life lies
something that defeats it all. And on a clear, crisp day, if you look at
someone in just the right light, you may be able to catch a glimpse of
the hidden emotion inside them. And this inner-peace we all store too returns
to the earth in death. But do not misunderstand me, for the spirit does
not die. The spirit of another or even of yourself can visit you once again
when you least expect it.. perhaps on a clear, crisp day, when you're looking
in the eyes of someone new and see the same glimmer you swear you saw once
before. And herein lies the truth about life: Nothing ever goes away...Nothing
that really matters, at least. --

Image of the Day
An ominous July sunset... Probably my favorite month of the year, now
that I think of it. |
Quote of the Day - Gloria Swanson
"Never say never, for if you live long
enough, chances are you will not be able to abide by its restrictions.
Never is a long, undependable time, and life is too full of rich possibilities
to have restrictions placed upon it."
...earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to
dust...
