Right now, I'm feeling rather tense and slightly
nervous. Don't get me wrong, I'm in good spirits and everything... but
I have a big weekend ahead of me, I just want it all to go well. And the
commencement speech thing is looming over my head and pressing down on
my shoulders with an enormous force. Once I choose a topic, I know I will
be able to write a speech to go along with it... but I just want to deliver
the best message I can, and I can't decide what the best lesson I've learned
is. I'm not sure what I will talk about, but I don't want to let anyone
down... If I didn't care about disappointing people, I would happily read
Lucky's
speech from Waiting for Godot. Alas, I must attempt to be somewhat
serious (as perceived by other people, that is). So hopefully some words
of wisdom and/or reflection will come to me sometime.
Prom's tonight, so I'm off to get ready... I'm sure I'll have pics up
of me in my flashy red tuxedo.

Play Quote of the Day - Waiting For Godot,
by Samuel Beckett
Vladimir:
Was I sleeping, while the others suffered?
Am I sleeping now? Tomorrow, when I wake, or think I do, what shall I say
of today?
