Once again at home... This travelling
back and forth is getting to me. I hate feeling like I'm making people go
out of their way for me. I mean, I definitely appreciate it and all, but
I am really hoping I get a parking pass soon so I don't have to put people
out. But yeah, nearly all my friends have left for college now... I kind
of just feel like it's an extended vacation for them or something. Many of
them are coming in next friday for the VASJ game, so I'll see them there.
But soon after that, the rest of my friends will be leaving, and it will
set in-- that is, the feeling of closure on my current life. Anyway, that's
enough of that. I was talking to Larry yesterday about college and stuff,
and we both agree that we aren't big fans of the college classroom setting.
While the teachers may be very knowledgeable in a subject, they may not be
knowledgeable in the subject of teaching. I guess I can't really explain
it too well, but the size and level of the classes at college don't allow
for very interpersonal relationships between the students and teachers. I
guess I just liked the feeling of knowing my teachers on a personal level
at Euclid. But yeah, at Euclid, classes were every day and they were taken
for one year... Now at Case, classes are 2-3 times a week for half a year.
That timeframe doesn't really allow for many digressions in class... i.e.
no "Duncan Donut" parties, no musical Macbeth videos, no surprise birthday
parties when it's no one's birthday. I don't think I'll know any of my teachers
on such a personal level that I can pour a ridiculous amount of candy corn
on any of their desks for no apparent reason at all. Ah, the good old days...
Alright, the update is getting lengthy, I'm out for now.

Lyrics of the Day - "Where Are You Going?" by Dave Matthews
Band
I am no Superman;
I have no answers for you.
I am no hero, oh that’s for sure,
But I do know one thing:
Where you are is where I belong.
I do know, where you go is where I wanna be.
Where are you going?
