Song of the Week: Death Cab For Cutie - Title and Registration

December 9, 2003 - a step in the right direction?
My update pattern has been going from being fairly irregular to being quite regular... though the pattern itself hasn't changed at all. Rather, I have been doing the whole 4-day-per-week update thing for a while now, that it's almost normal for people to come to this site not expecting new content, or to just not come at all. I want that to change. I don't think I'll be sharing daily endeavours up here anymore, unless I feel like they may be entertaining or provocative (or I really feel like writing them down). So from now on, I am going to attempt to have a 7-day update schedule, like I once did, and also attempt to put something of worth in this space up here. That's all for now... oh, and happy belated birthday Casey Murphy (his birthday was the 8th... and  I haven't seen since fifth grade).

This is a shot of the game board of Steve-O's impressive Guess Who game, written in C++ by him and his group. Download it at their website.

And, if you want to download my group's slightly less impressive version of Mastermind, feel free to do so at our website.

Quote of the Day  - Kirk Israel
There is too much pain in the search for perfection.  Come into movies 5 minutes late.  Leave some books half finished.  Add a smudge to a drawing.  Find the beauty in what is, not what could be.  Don't allow "perfect" to become a synonym for "beautiful"

December 10, 2003 - knighty knight
At 7:00 tonight, I rode into KHSM Castle, with my calculator for a horse, a pencil for a sword, and my math knowlege as my armor, and I slayed the dragon known as the math final.

Steve and I actually explained this elaborate medieval-to-math analogy on the way to the test. I'd go through it here, but I'll spare you the nerdocity. Two tests down, two to go. (How bout that for not talking about mundane personal life stuff on here... heh.)

"There is no safety in numbers, or in anything else."

December 11, 2003 - clutter
So here I am updating from Ashley's house... I usually use a WYSIWYG editor, for convenience's sake, but now that I see what kind of code it creates, I think I'm going to revert back to raw HTML. I mean, my index page was like 88 k, and it's only the second update of the week. Sheesh! Alright, off to watch TV, adios for now.

Quote of the Day  - Elizabeth Goudge
"Most of the basic truths of life sound absurd at first hearing."

December 12, 2003 - snow what i mean?
Ah, lovely. For the first time this winter (okay, it's not winter yet), I awoke to a white scene in the window. My lawn was covered, my car was covered, it was beautiful. I love snow. Unfortunately, it didn't get much snowier than that; the snow has been melting and falling all day. Soon enough though, it will be snowy enough to build snowmen and go sledding and sing "Winter Wonderland" all day long.

Poem of the Day  - Dust of Snow, by Robert Frost
The way a crow
Shook down on me
The dust of snow
From a hemlock tree
Has given my heart
A change of mood
And saved some part
Of a day I had rued.
