Ah, the old death penalty issue. To me, it's just
a matter of vengeance. I don't know if I think it's morally wrong, or if
I just think it's dumb and hypocritical. I mean, if a man is convicted
of murder, and he's sentanced to death, then the system is just committing
another murder. One death doesn't make up for another. I mean, then again,
there's the whole issue of prison and us dishing money out for prison when
we could so easily just KILL the people. I mean, come on, think for a second.
Here are the options:
Number one is stupid and it would be complete chaos. Number two is some
type of control. Number three is tyrannical. It's like the olden "off with
their heads" days. I wish people would stop being so barbaric. And what
if a man is killed as punishment for a crime, but he was wrongfully accused?
And who knows what would be in store for the killed man in the years to
come? What if we kill a guy who was going to cure some deadly disease in
the future? Yeah, that's kinda unrealistic, but you never know. Those
who are for the death penalty must not really believe in redemption. Personally,
I think everyone who truly wants one deserves a second chance. I mean,
yes they must endure the punishment, but to kill them is to deny them of
any hope for the future. Ah well. That's all I've got to say about that.
