What information do you have for the scan series?

Scan spells allow you to gain valuable information on your target like it's elemental defenses, statistics, and more. Though scan spells are simple, they can be quite bad to use in battle, especially against very strong enemies.

Table Footnotes:
* Scan is neither of the ten elements mainly because it's not an attacking spell. The ten elements are described in detail here.
** These are all status terms. To learn more, go to this page.
*** Equip effects are minor changes to your primary stats [and rarely secondary and quaternary stats]. To learn more, go to this page.
AP cost is how many ability points the ability will take to learn. This ability is one of the simplest to learn for the spells, however, the requirements tell otherwise. To learn more, see this page.

This table below describes the scan spell in very high details including the level-specific details.

1Scan has no spell effects, however, a window displaying the target's stats appears in their entire field of view as 1/4 transparent 404040 gray box with FFFFFF text in this box and remains there until the caster decides to remove itN/A50No worthy spell effects
2Same as level 1N/A1000
3Same as level 1N/A30,000

Table footnotes:
* The values here are not applicable because scan is not an attacking spell.
** Root value is the amount of spell power it would take to cast that spell if your spirit stat was equal to zero.
*** Scan's only effect is that a window displaying the target's stats appears, and can remain there until the caster decides to remove it, thus a video of the spell's effects is not worth it.
The 404040 notation is a color code to name an exact color accurately. To find this color and learn how to use transparency, go here.
This spell is cheap! In addition to the low AP cost, this spell takes so little spell power to use. With a maxed spirit, this already low spell power cost becomes a very tiny fraction, 25 millionths for even the highest level! However, this spell can be quite a distraction in battle, but handy.

You might be thinking how you gain newer levels for the spell. Simple, use it enough and/or gain experience otherwise. If you're asking about getting scan2 from scan, the ability needs to reach a certain level. To get level 2, you need to get it to level 50 and for level 3, you need level 100. Scan is one of the simplest of the spells and easily obtained as indicated by the low AP cost and very low spell power root value.
