Act 1: First mission: Minot, ND Scene 1: Minot Air Force Base Time: May 27, 1999 at 11:10 AM - 45 hours 35 minutes remaining*
Knuckles narrator: | (while beginning credits are coming up after the logos finish, Knuckles is gliding 28 miles south of the Air Base of Minot 800 feet above the ground following Highway 83’s median through Minot going 800 mph not accelerating or decelerating**; forty seconds later, after some of the credits; starts speaking) Hi. I’m Knuckles. That’s me you see gliding at 800 m-p-h***. This was the story of my life time and I’ll never forget it! It all started peacefully just as I got used to Earth letting everyone know me well enough. I come from Korona†, a huge planet far larger than Earth’s Sun and I’ve been on Earth since June 13, 1996, my 312th Earth-based calculated birthday‡. When May 27th of the year 1999 started, I saw the strange events start and at 11:07 AM, I got a bad feeling from Minot Air Force Base.
Figure 1: This image illustrates how the characters glide. The arms are the controls for everything. On the diagram above, when the arms are long, that side is up, and when they are short, that side is down. While turning, the whole body turns, not just the arms. They glide around just like they were an airplane, where the arms are the airplane’s wings. The forward/speed up part is different though. When a character drops down after exiting a glide, they go from their gliding position to an upright position with their arms out. All characters glide like this except Speed who doesn’t.
Knuckles††: | It’s 11:12 AM here and I’m about ten miles south of the Air Force base near Minot, North Dakota of the USA. I’m getting some bad feelings of something over there aside one from in Minot. Ya‡† know, I’ve always wanted to make normal humans become supernatural. Maybe I’ll make 3 become supernatural. I can sense where two of them are now, maybe I’ll pick them up after I clear this problem I’m sensing. I’ll equip some extra glides to distribute them to them†‡. Basically, all I can do is give them abilities I acquire too many of. 1 dot 1‡‡ sextillion ability points isn’t much of anything to me at all, whereas it’s a huge amount to puny humans. I should be getting pretty close by now. (senses†††; finds something suspicious near a prison) Uh oh! Someone will break out of jail! I gotta hurry. (turns slightly to the left heading toward the Mini Mall building) Going my maximum of 800 m-p-h ain’t bad though unlike the cars down below going only 55. I wonder why I can’t go higher than 800 m-p-h? It’s strange why I can’t seem to pass 800 while gliding no matter where I am! If I want to go faster, I’ll have to cast a teleport spell. (turns right to line up with the roadway; drops down [gets out of gliding position] still going 800 mph; lands; stops very quickly‡†† coming to a complete stop in the left turn lane headed toward the Mini Mall) Good timing! All right, he’ll arrive here and very soon. (jumps up onto the roof of the Mini Mall while continuing speech) Current distance of 14 hundred 50†‡† feet at a bearing of 14 degrees. (three minutes later††‡; senses) Ah, I see him! (casts vanish on himself; a white sparkle appears over Knuckles’ body growing in size; when the sparkle covers his whole body 1 second after the spell’s effect initiates, all fades away in one second while the sparkle continues getting larger) Now to take him back to where he belongs.
Figure 2: How characters cast spells. Step 1: First, the character makes a fist like the first part shows while standing in a very upright position. Then the character moves this fist up to their forehead in tact [without getting it unhooked]. Step 2: When the fist touches the forehead, a greenish glow [color code 70C040] appears around the character standing no more than 1/16 the character’s height for 2 seconds [If you choose to display the spell that’s being casted in a small text box, this is the moment it appears and remains there until the spell’s effects start.]. After the greenish glow fades away, the characters undo their fist and drop their left hand to the side hanging down. With their right hand [step 3], they move it back then jerk it forward quickly with the palm facing directly in front of them [step 4], even if the target is behind them. After the spell’s effects end, the character reverts to normal [unless the spell is repeated from multiple casting [such thing only occurs once in the entire script]] The moment the hand is jerked forward, the spell’s effects start. This is all what happens when you see "casts ‘spell name’" as an action. It should take about 4 seconds to do this entire process before the spell’s effects start. Sometimes, a message saying "spell failed: reason for failure" appears after the spell’s effects end in a 404040-colored 3/4 transparent box with white [FFFFFF in color] text staying there for 3 seconds. Sometimes, in bad or certain conditions, the spell’s effects don’t play and they immediately get the "spell failed: reason for failure" message. For mass-selecting [selecting multiple targets], the process is exactly the same, but the spell’s effects are played on the targets individually for some spells, but once for others. What I mean by this is the life spell would make only one angel appear, but when the cure spell follows, the effect is played on all targets. See "spell effects and other repeated effects" in the extras section to tell what does what when mass-selecting.
Air Force man: | Help! | |
Knuckles: | You better stop right now and go back to your jail cell where you belong!
Crook: | Who said that? (punches a car window; gets picked up by Knuckles after a half a second; shocked; confused) Huh!? Somehow I’m floating in the air!
Knuckles: | I got you! First, to take care of you. (jumps up onto the building’s roof while holding the crook; puts the crook down; casts teleport on the crook‡‡†; spell has no actions other than the fact that the target warps at 3/4 the speed of light to destination the caster sets; Crook appears back in jail; camera stays there for 2 seconds then returns to normal) That was too easy! Now to fix the broken window the cheapest way, a cure spell. (reappears‡†‡; jumps down from the building; runs to where the crook smashed the window at 25 mph; casts cure; a white sparkle as bright as looking at a 15-watt light bulb circles around the car window starting from the bottom part going up in two complete spiraling circles; white sparkle then goes toward the center directly, grows to the full size of the target from half the size then fades away completely shrinking down at the same time; a green 3488 pops out from the center of the window going up at a constant rate of 8 inches per second for 1.1 seconds)
Air Force man: | Thanks. How did you fix my window so quickly and what’s with the green number I saw? What happened to that guy?
Knuckles: | I fixed the window by casting cure. The green number is how many hit points were restored. As for the bad guy, (one second pause) I made him warp to jail so he can’t break out again. Sorry, but I gotta go. I came here because I was sensing something and I guess it wasn’t as bad as I thought. My next destination is Erik Ramstad Middle School of Minot south of here. Bye.
End scene 1 Scene 2: The first two members Time: 11:18 AM Central Time - 45 hours 27 minutes remaining
Knuckles narrator: | That was the first mission of my story and it wasn’t as bad as I first thought. I continued following where that feeling was coming from and got nowhere fast. I tried sensing using extra spell power to multiply the ability’s power, but it didn’t work too well. I thought about using extra spell power when I got close on where it was coming from.
Knuckles: | (while "Knuckles narrator" speaks: jumps up to 183 1/3 feet jumping once in mid-air †‡‡ and ‡‡‡; uses flash attack to go straight up to gain 366 2/3 more feet in height obtaining a total height of 550 feet§*; glides going east; turns toward the south turning right; starts speaking when "Knuckles narrator" finishes 20 seconds into his glide) This shouldn’t take too long to get there. My destination is another six miles so it’ll take just over a full minute to get there. Although I start slow, by then I’ll get near 330 m-p-h. (senses) I’m getting that weird feeling again! For the sixteenth time in the last 6 hours I keep getting that weird feeling! It’s as if something (drops down from above where the north hill drops down into the city) weird is going on below Minot, but what? (lands; slams into a brick building; a red 0 appears on both objects [Knuckles and the building; for red numbers effect, see "spell effects and other repeated effects"]; falls backwards landing on back; gets up very quickly; gets into the road; runs along with the traffic keeping up with it while running along on the ground§** as if he was a car) Shoot! I forgot where it was! I’ll use road signs for now and follow where the traffic is going. (stops at a red light; runs toward the right-turn lane; continues running at 30 mph in the right lane after making the turn) All right then, I’ll gamble a billion spell power in a single sense. I know where it’s coming from, but I can’t detect it and see what it is visually. (senses; sees a 3/4 transparent dark gray box [color code 404040] saying "sensing error: target cannot be detected visually" in it with white [color FFFFFF] non-transparent text 2 feet in front of him for 3 seconds then disappears in one frame§***) Same error even with six times the spell power usage I generally use. Maybe if I get closer. It’s coming from very close to the school. (80 seconds later; arrives by the doors to Erik Ramstad Middle School running at 30 mph) Well, now to enter. (casts teleport; appears inside the building just after the second doorway; senses; finds Ivan in the gym playing volleyball)
Ivan: | Hmm. It’s 5 to 5 and we just keep swapping sides like crazy! What kind of volleyball game is this anyway? 5, 5 serving. (serves the ball; ball hits net on the top not making it over to the other side) Oy. Third time now in a row! Usually that doesn’t happen to me. (front row teammate rolls ball to server on other team)
Knuckles: | (senses) Score is 5 to 5. Nice. He gets out of school at 3:15, which will be a while. (noticed a sign outside the gym) A party tonight? 9 to midnight. Cost of 3 dollars. That ain’t bad. Of course, with all this junk inside my chest, I made millions. Duplicating objects with the duplicate spell comes in pretty handy in that case.
Tonight! 9:00 to 12:00 Bring $3! Awarding Prizes! Figure 3: The party sign on the gym wall. The sign is a piece of paper roughly that of standard copier paper.
Knuckles: | (at 3:15 PM the same day§†) I guess it’s about time. It’s the last day of school too! Hmm. To grab his attention, I’ll give him a surprise. For safety, I’ll snap into invisible mode. (casts vanish) There.
Ivan: | (cleans his desk off; the bell rings) Finally! Summer vacation begins! (Ivan takes the last item off his desk; camera gets to a point in which it is about 5 to 6 feet above the floor looking down at the center of the desk with Ivan to the left side while he puts the last item that was on the desk in his backpack; a note magically appears in 1 frame after 1 second of looking down from the small height; camera returns to normal; sees the note on his desk) How did this get here? Didn’t I just have my desk completely cleaned off? Oh well. (reads it; self§‡) See me outside as you leave, Knuckles. (normal§††) Knuckles? Who’s Knuckles? (gets up and exits the classroom while speaking) I’d better find out by going to the office. Is someone playing a trick on me because they don’t like me? (runs slowly to the attendance office evading everyone in his path; enters the attendance office; goes to attendance clerk) I have a question. I mysteriously got this note from someone named Knuckles, but I don’t know of anyone named Knuckles. I had my desk cleaned off completely and all of a sudden there is this note saying "see me outside as you leave". Yet only 4 students were in the class at that time minus the teacher. It seems suspicious. (gives the note to the attendance clerk)
Attendance clerk: | I’ll run a check for someone named Knuckles. That doesn’t seem familiar. (starts a search on the computer for a classmate named Knuckles; after two seconds, computer returns zero results) Sorry, but no one in the school has that name in either first, middle or last names.
Ivan: | Maybe someone is pulling a prank on me somehow. Oh well.
Knuckles: | (senses; shocked) Woah! That feeling I got at 11:00 AM is so much stronger! What is it!? (senses for 1.5 seconds; sees "sensing error: target cannot be detected visually"; confused) Man! Still can’t sense it!? What’s going on!? (feels a very small rumble undetectable by humans nor not seen on the video; end shocked) A rumble? This is really confusing! (looks out the doorways over the center of the street where it’s coming from) Nothing’s over there. (sees a red monster pop out of the ground the moment Knuckles starts saying "there"; end confused; very shocked) Woah! What’s that!? (casts teleport while speaking the "woah, what’s that" part; appears outside the doors; casts scan3 on the monster; sees it’s stats like he sees error messages only the stats don’t disappear automatically after a set time) This thing doesn’t seem like it’s from Earth by looking at this! (box holding object’s stats disappears; watches it get close to a tree across the street; the tree the monster got close to catches fire very quickly) Yikes! It’s a threat! (monster takes off flying upwards at about 10 mph while starting to cast ice27; surroundings fade to 1/4 the normal brightness except the target which is unaffected by the fading; a large ice crystal like that of a large quartz crystal appears over the monster; ice crystal explodes sending pieces flying off in all directions§‡† at starting speeds from 250 mph to as high as 550 mph; ice shards disappear after 3 seconds; surroundings return to normal; red 7.85571E09; monster falls down to the ground; after hitting the ground, 2 seconds later it fades away in 1/3 of a second) Whatever it was, it’s gone. (normal) What was that all about? (senses; shocked) Oh no, not again! I’m now sensing something similar in Puerto Rico! Why there though? Is this a worldwide threat? (normal; exits invisible mode) I still got the stats of this fire sphere, maybe I can learn more about it from these. (the stats appear again; looks at them carefully) It’s called a lavalent according to this. It’s fire-based and lava is fire-based, so I agree with it. I have a feeling that there’s one for all ten elements. Did it see me in invisible mode? Hmm. This thing floats. Top speed of... (shocked) Woah! 417 m-p-h!? How can that thing go so fast!? Where did it come from? (normal) Elemental defense is like that of pure fire-based objects. Very weak versus ice and water (half second pause) absorbs fire and wind. (stats in front of Knuckles disappears; casts undo on the tree on fire; tree returns to normal the way it was before the lavalent got to it only with several scars and burns; casts cure; green 182834; tree returns to it’s original state before the lavalent got to it)
Ivan: | (sees Knuckles; scared) What was that thing!?
Knuckles: | I don’t know, but they don’t seem Earth-like. According to its stats, I see that it is more powerful than any tank in any army would get, much more powerful, but too easy to defeat. They’re nearly worthless at my high level. I’ll tell you more about myself at the party.
Ivan: | I don’t have any money to go there and mom’s behind on bills, especially credit card bills.
Knuckles: | Don’t worry, I’m a multimillionaire because of selling so much junk I have that I don’t need that I duplicate a lot. If I need money, I’ll sell something like a desk, a piano, computer, you name it, I have it and in huge quantities of. If you’re wondering where all these items are, they’re inside my chest compressed to almost nothing.
Ivan: | (normal) Let me see something then.
Knuckles: | Okay. (takes out a CD case with a blank data CD in it) Here’s a small object, but I’ve got items bigger than a huge city ten times the size of New York or Tokyo inside here. I’m not taking one of those out though, especially here. (puts CD stuff back inside his chest) I have to go to Puerto Rico and soon as I have a feeling some of these monsters are there too. How would you like to become supernatural?
Ivan: | Supernatural? Like how?
Knuckles: | I have plenty of abilities on hand, most of them junk to me, but what would be supernatural to you. At my rate, I’d learn just about any plus ability except experience and A-P pluses in a split second even at the slowest speed possible! I’ll tell you more at the party. Do you want to go to it?
Ivan: | Definitely. | |
Knuckles: | All right. You can even get a soda if you want.
End scene 2 Scene 3: Let’s Party Time: 8:58 PM Central Time - 35 hours 47 minutes remaining
Knuckles narrator: | As night came, I went out exploring Minot from above looking for suspicious activity relating to the encounter I saw earlier that day. I almost lost track of time while doing so and headed straight for Ivan’s house barely making it on time.
Ivan: | He should be here soon.
Knuckles: | (gliding above Minot at 136 mph accelerating normally) Almost. Better start slowing down. (slows down for 2.25 seconds; uses flash attack to get rid of the remaining 100 mph of speed; falls; lands in the drive way near Ivan after a 4-second fall and 80 mph impact) Just on time, ain’t I?
Ivan: | Early by a few seconds. How am I going to get to the school? I can’t drive legally.
Knuckles: | I can’t either because I’m too small, but I’m way faster than a puny car. Top speed for me is 800 m-p-h, faster than the speed of sound, but not by....
Ivan: | (interrupting; shocked) What!
Knuckles: | I can give you that ability, however, I need to learn a duplicate first, which will take about another day as I’ve got a little less than a sextillion ability points to go of 1 dot OH-8 sextillion§†‡ needed.
Ivan: | (normal) What’s a sextillion?
Knuckles: | A trillion times a billion.
Ivan: | Geesh! How am I going to get there though?
Knuckles: | By one method that allows me to pass the 800 limit, a spell called....
Ivan: | (interrupting; shocked) You have spells!? Like what?
Knuckles: | I’ll tell you more later. I’m going to be showing you the teleport spell. Now, watch around me carefully. (casts teleport; when the green glow appears, Ivan gets a confused and amazed look on his face; both Ivan and Knuckles instantly appear by the school’s entrance) See how quick that was?
Ivan: | (end shocked; confused; amazed) That was like (1 second pause) instantaneous! What was that faint greenish glow around you? (Tu comes around the corner walking toward Ivan and Knuckles)
Knuckles: | Any time I’m about to cast a spell, I get that for 2 seconds.
Ivan: | (end amazed) Then, what was that bright flash high above the house before you came?
Knuckles: | I was going 100 m-p-h when I saw your house and I wouldn’t have slown down in time so I used it to get rid of that speed instantly. I was like 250 feet above your house so it would be slightly blinding.
Ivan: | It seemed like daylight for that twentieth of a second or so.
Knuckles: | In day, it’s okay to use, but I try to avoid it at night, unless I was up very high as it wouldn’t be as bright. I’m trying to figure out how to get rid of that annoying 800 glide speed barrier. At least it’s faster than a jet plane. Speaking of which, do you want to go on one to Puerto Rico with me?
Ivan: | Why to Puerto Rico?
Knuckles: | You saw that red thing that scan3 calls a lavalent, right?
Ivan: | (normal) Yeah. | |
Knuckles: | I am getting a very bad feeling that there’s going to be an outbreak there. Certainty is over 99% as the waves I get from sensing are almost a complete match. Amplitude is higher, meaning that the event will be worse than what the break out in Minot was.
Tu: | Hello Ivan. (sees Knuckles) Who’s this orchid-colored guy?
Knuckles: | I’m Knuckles. Well, it’s cold out here for you, so let’s enter. I absorb cold. Instead of the cold doing damage, cold heals me because I absorb ice element. Don’t worry about money as I’ve got millions from selling junk I have to shops around the nation and the world. (takes a ten dollar bill from inside his chest) Here’s a ten to show you that I’ve got enough for a soda plus party admission. I’ll tell you both later a lot more about me.
Tu: | Oh, okay, because I have several questions.
Knuckles: | Okay. (hands them the ten; Ivan opens the doors letting Tu in) Meet me in the cafeteria. (casts teleport; appears by cafeteria)
Tu: | Where’d he go? | |
Party cashier: | You two together? That’ll be six dollars.
Tu: | Here’s a ten. | |
Party cashier: | Hmm. You seem to have a lot of money.
Ivan: | It’s my allowance and I’m not using it for anything.
Party cashier: | Ah, okay. (gives back 4 ones)
Ivan: | Go to the cafeteria.
Tu: | Okay. | |
Party cashier: | Here’s a ticket for each of you for the prize giveaways at ten. (Ivan and Tu take the tickets)
Tu: | Thanks. Wonder what I’ll win, if I get anything. (Ivan and Tu head toward the cafeteria; sees Knuckles) Okay, I’d like to know what that red thing was that I keep hearing about between you and the news that appeared just outside the school.
Knuckles: | That is a mystery to me as well. Scan3 calls it a lavalent. I attacked it with ice since fire is very weak versus ice elemental attacks.
Tu: | Attacked it with ice? How? From your chest?
Knuckles: | An ice spell. It’s level 27. There’s 36 levels in all, and I have all 36 levels. I even have the ultima (quarter second pause) te§‡‡ spell that does tremendous damage, much stronger than all weapons that’ll ever be made 20 years from now, even if all the weapons were to go off in the same area, on the same object, it wouldn’t even come close. I put a pause in the word "ultimate" as it’s a clue to what the name of the spell series is.
Ivan: | You were saying something about going to Puerto Rico, what is that all about?
Knuckles: | You can come if you want, but it will be the ride of your life time. I see a lot of exciting and scary things happening to you in the near future. The reason why I need to go to Puerto Rico is because like that red thing that popped out of the ground, I’m getting a strong feeling that there’s something related to the Minot event that’s going to happen over there. The waves I get from sensing are a near-exact match! 99% identical outside amplitude! I’m getting another feeling about something in the middle of the Atlantic ocean, that one is completely uncertain to what it is, even with my super massive sensing level, even with a billion extra spell power being used. My ultima (quarter second pause) te attack takes 88 million spell power to use just once even with a maxed spirit stat!
Ivan: | You keep pausing before the "t" [the sound of the letter "t"] sound in the word ultimate, why?
Knuckles: | My ultima (half second pause) te attack spell is called ultima. Get it? I use level 6, the highest.
Ivan: | You also said that you have spells. What kinds of spells are these? How many do you have? How do they work?
Knuckles: | For one thing, a magician never reveals their secret, but these spells are much more than a mere scientific trick like a floating platform someone goes on to imitate levitation or a mirror in a black box to show it as if an item disappeared. These spells have no tricks up the sleeve but there is a secret behind them. I have attacking spells like the ice27 spell I mentioned. I have restoration spells like life, cure, heal, normalize, and normalize2. I have effect-causing spells like undo, edit, delete, create, and time compression. I have spells for just about anything you can think of, even for creating gold and duplicating the gold using a different spell. In all I have over 50 quadrillion different spells and gaining an average of 4 more per day.
Ivan: | Where does ultima6 fall in? What’s a quadrillion too?
Knuckles: | Both attacking and extreme categories. It’s for attacking and it’s on the extreme side as it does a tremendous amount of damage, enough to turn Earth into a momentary super-Sun as it’ll emit so much radiation that if compared to the Sun, the Sun would live for only 2 years, if that! A quadrillion is a thousand trillions. Yet the temperature would be in the trillions of degrees easily! Gamma rays would be a major concern, however.
Ivan: | How can Earth suddenly emit so much energy then?
Knuckles: | It’s how the spell works. Cast this spell, Earth gets converted to energy. All that’ll probably remain as matter is something the size of a tennis ball, probably smaller. Knowing the laws of hit points and what hit points are, because the object is nearly annihilated as matter, damage amounts to a 78,000-digit number! That’s huge!
Tu: | I would love to go to Puerto Rico with you, but what about my parents?
Knuckles: | Good question, and after a millisecond of good thinking, I already know the solution.
Ivan: | What is it? | |
Knuckles: | That I’ll keep a secret for now, but I’ll tell you one part. All I do is alter the memory. That spell is called "memory alter". It belongs in the "neutral effects" category. I’ll do it right now even. (casts memory alter; effects are not seen as camera does not go to where the target is) That’s it. It’s done. I’ll need to call the airport. Better yet, I have a ticket inside my chest, but I don’t have any for you. Let me check. (digs in chest)
Ivan: | (while Knuckles is searching; self) He seems interesting doesn’t he? I wonder if this guy can search all that junk he says he has fast enough. Who knows but him? What’s his name anyway? Is this that Knuckles guy that gave me that note?
Knuckles: | (immediately after Ivan finishes his line) Odd, it’s not in there. Yes, I gave you that note. I wrote such a note a long time earlier and took one of my duplicates outside my chest then casted teleport to make it instantly appear on your desk.
Announcer: | (at 10:00 PM; in the school gym on the stage by a stand with a microphone attached to it) We are now awarding prizes. Please make sure you have your ticket out and ready as, if I call it, you’re a winner.
Knuckles: | I can change events around without anyone knowing about it so you both will win. I see a pizza Hut coupon for getting a free large pizza with up to 3 toppings.
Ivan: | Oooo! Good item. I want it.
Announcer: | First up, number 6-0-1-3-4-4§†††
Ivan: | We didn’t win? | |
Tu: | Neither did I. | |
Knuckles: | I did that because you haven’t chosen what you wanted yet.
Tu: | I like theme parks. | |
Knuckles: | Hmm. How about a coupon for a free video rental at Premiere Video?
Tu: | (shocked) Huh!? How did you know what I wanted!?
Knuckles: | I can read anyone’s mind. Is that what you want?
Ivan: | Yep. | |
Tu: | (normal) I guess so.
Knuckles: | All right, it’s done. Ivan has ticket number 600907 and Tu has number 600908. Watch now.
Announcer: | Next up, (draws from the drawing hat after shuffling them around a bit; takes out ticket number 600907) 6-0-0-9-OH-7.
Knuckles: | Told ya. | |
Ivan: | (goes to the announcer in the gym) Here. (hands the announcer the ticket; announcer draws from the small bucket; takes out an envelope; gives it to Ivan; opens it; sees a coupon exactly as he wanted) Perfect! Exactly what I wanted too! (runs back to the cafeteria)
Announcer: | Number 6-0-0-9-OH-8.
Tu: | Okay. (goes to gym; hands announcer the ticket; announcer draws from the small bucket; announcer gives envelope to Tu; opens it, sees a coupon for exactly what she wanted; surprised) Exactly as I wanted!
Announcer: | That’s strange. That’s two that got exactly what they wanted. Weird. Number 6-0-0-7-5-8.
Tu: | (exits gym; returns to cafeteria where Knuckles is) We got exactly what we wanted! Let’s go!
Figure 4: Knuckles’ house map. Legend: A: Bench 4.5 feet high. After the night is over with, it becomes the spot where papers with a lot of complex general arithmetic questions and answers on it. B: Knuckles’ alarm clock. C A stool that is 4 feet high. D. A board is here that raises the part to the right by 6 inches. E. Ivan’s bed. F. Tu’s bed. The bar on the bottom is measurement. Each mark is 1 foot, which is 8 pixels on this image to give you an idea on the scaling. Each mark on the scale below is 8 pixels, so 1 pixel is 1/8 of a foot on this map.
Knuckles: | We’ll sleep in my own created house. It’s like that of living in your own home.
Tu: | Okay. | |
Knuckles: | If you don’t like it, I can cast the edit spell and make changes. Ready to warp there? (casts teleport; both appear inside a 00D000-colored-walled house) I don’t need any sleep, as I’ve got a special ability to counter it. I never eat nor drink either. I just absorb energy from nearby objects or a star like the Sun to make up for it. I’ll stand guard as sometimes, but rarely, thieves try to break into my house and it’s impossible for them to unless they have the strength of Speed, my best buddy. We have a flight to catch at 8:00 AM. Have you eaten yet?
Tu: | Yes. Why do you want to use the plane when you know teleporting is faster?
Knuckles: | I’m getting some strange feeling about something about the plane ride and I need to be there to check it out. I can’t tell exactly what’s going to happen. I’ll be analyzing sense waves to get some details§‡††.
Ivan: | What if another monster pops up while we’re sleeping? (1 second pause) Yes, I’ve eaten too.
Knuckles: | This house is impenetrable, so monsters can’t get it. Not even the atomic bomb that’s been overloaded can scratch it. No worries at all. Thank the defense up spell.
Tu: | I wonder how much of the world is worried about these mysterious monsters.
Knuckles: | So far, I’ve only sensed related feelings in the Minot area and since that one monster appeared, I haven’t got any of those feelings yet, except in the deep future like 7:57 AM. Give or take 10 minutes either way from this point. Usually, for that short of a time range, I’m often correct within the second. Anyway, you better get to bed now.
