As we all get inexorably closer to losing it all one day, many of us realize that our health and loved ones are indeed so ever important. The cruelty of illness, physical and cognitive incapacitation is sometimes seen as worse than dying itself. A stroke or Alzheimer's attacks memory and is such an insult to life and loving that it is nothing to joke about.

Probably one of the most touching and profoundly serious posts we have ever seen among us Fellerites appeared on the MSN site.

Liz wrote sincerely about Rick Lambert's generosity and caring, and shared with us the joy she feels in sharing a new life with Mr. Martel following her stroke.

After reading Rick Elger's remark a post or two later I had this temendous urge to slap him in the face. I would like Rick to imagine that I have just done so.
