At the start of the school year the corps appointed a new Chief Petty Officer, Jim High, a fully qualified PO1 who joined us from RCSCC AHUNTSIC. The corps would not have another qualified PO1 until May 1964, when David Oliver and Don Ferguson progressed through the ranks and passed the PO1 exam.
October 1960
A contingent of RCSCC "FORT LENNOX" cadets took part in a Navy League Parade in Montreal in conjunction with the Royal Canadian Navy’s 50th Anniversary Celebrations. The occasion included a visit and dinner aboard the anti-submarine Destroyer HMCS TERRA NOVA.
The
entire corps took part in a Remembrance
Day Parade in St. Jean

The Commanding Officer’s Challenge Trophies were awarded as follows:

Cadets traveled to HMCS ACADIA in North Sydney, Nova Scotia
for summer training. Even though the
contingent from RCSCC FORT LENNOX scored 499.4 points out of a possible
500, an
incredible 110.9 points higher than the winning score a year earlier,
the Corps
came second-overall in the race for the General Efficiency Trophy.
The winner, RCSCC VICTORY had a perfect score of 500!
They lost 0.6 points and the trophy due to a "dust bunny"!
