11 November 1962 

The Corps once again took part in Remembrance Day Ceremonies at the Cenotaph in Saint Jean and were inspected by Group Captain Cameron, CD, Commanding Officer, Royal Canadian Air Force Station Saint Jean. 

18 November 1962

A contingent of Sea Cadets took part in a Church Service at First Baptist Church in Montreal.  On the way home, their automobile driven by the past Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Peter Ferguson, R.C.S.C., was involved in a single vehicle accident when the car slid off the highway into a deep water-filled ditch, resulting in very serious injuries to Lieutenant Ferguson and his wife and less serious to minor injuries to seven cadets.

5th Annual Inspection.  The Reviewing Officer was:

         Captain J.A.T.M. Jette, CD, NDC, PSM, RCN, Commandant, College Militaire Royal de St. Jean.

The Commanding Officer’s Challenge Trophies were awarded as follows:   

Most Proficient Division:  Haida   DPO PO2 Don Ferguson

Most Proficient Cadet: PO2 David Oliver and A/C Brian Downie 

August 1963 

At the completion of the 6 week Naval Aviation Course at HMCS SHEARWATER,  Dartmouth , NS , PO2 David Oliver was awarded the  “Top Cadet Award” by Commander Kenneth E. Grant, CD, RCN.
