Commander Kenneth E. Grant, CD, RCN was among the 118 persons killed in the crash of TCA Flight 831 at Ste. Therese, Quebec.  At the time of his death, Cdr Grant was Staff Officer Sea Cadets, Headquarters, Commanding Officer Naval Divisions, Hamilton , Ontario.  Over the years he was a good friend to RCSCC FORT LENNOX and her Officers and Cadets.

6th, and final, Annual Inspection. 

The final Commanding Officer’s Challenge Trophies were awarded as follows:

Most Proficient Division: Micmac  DPO  PO2 Richard Elger

Most Proficient Cadet: L/C Douglas Payne

[Note: The trophies now reside in the Feller Museum in Grande Ligne]

End of June 1964 

All equipment was packed away and returned to the Department of National Defence.

30 June 1964

ROYAL CANADIAN SEA CADET CORPS FORT LENNOX was “Decommissioned”, “Paid Off”, “Disbanded”, “Shut Down”, “Terminated”, or what ever other sad comment one might want to make!
