Generation Morph: Book #1

Chapter 1---- Hi. My name's Kathy. Okay, you may not have heard of me. But, you may have heard about my parents. Years ago, they belonged to a group called the Animorphs. Yeah, they still are, but they've got a few new members. Us. Me, my twin brother Josh, our little sister Hannie, and our cousins Emily and Logan. Also there is our parents's friend's kid, Brett. We are all Animorphs, too. What are Animorphs? Well, they're humans capable of morphing into any animal by "acquiring" the animal's DNA. A long time ago, an Andalite named Elfangor suddenly arrived on our planet and gave our parents, and their friends, the power to morph. Cool, huh? But, there's a catch: we are having an alien invasion. It's been going on since Elfangor landed and gave our parents the power. Yeerks. Slimy, aliens slugs that control living things. Humans with Yeerks in their heads are called Controllers. People who aren't in control anymore. You see, Yeerks are parasites that need a host to live in. So, they slide into your ear where they take over your mind...and control you. That's what happened to Uncle Tom. And he's missing. Well, we know that he left this country a few years ago. He didn't tell anyone, but we knew he was and is never coming back. Ever. Everyone feels really bad for Uncle Jake, but he's strong. So, now let me tell you more about the little group of Animorphs. First there's the original Animorphs: Uncle Jake, Aunt Cassie, Marco, Mom, and Dad. Then there's us: Me, Josh, Hannie, Logan, Emily, and Brett. I have dirty-blond hair and eyes that are a mix of blue and brown. Josh has dirty-blond hair and blue eyes. And little Hannie has pale-blond hair and brown eyes. Emily and Logan are Aunt Cassie's and Uncle Jake's kids. Emily has kind of a light complexion, like Uncle Jake, while Logan has a mix of Jake and Cassie's coloured skin, which is sort of a medium colour. They both have brown hair and brown eyes. And then there's Marco's son, Brett. Marco never got married, but adopted Brett about three years ago. He has green eyes and light red hair. Ax gave Brett the power to morph from the blue box Elfangor used. So that's all of us. The Animorphs.
