Introduction: For those of you who have read the 'Andilite Chronicals', you may remember at the end that Elfangor had said that Tobias had posessed powers. Well this story is about those powers. And no, I'm not talking about the morphing ability. I'm talking about, what if Tobias had another power? What if there was more to him than meets the eye? Anywho, so yeah, this story is about if Tobias had other powers what would they be.

My name is Tobias. I can't tell you my last name. Heck I don't even know what my last name is anymore!! Well any ways I can't tell you it because it would be to risky. They'd find us. They you ask, who's They?? Well They is the Yeerks. Now your probably thinking what are Yeerks?

Yeerks are slug like aliens that crawl into your brain through your ear canal and take over your thoughts, feeling, everything! They are trying to enslave the earth like they did with the Hork Bajir, and other species. We (My friends and I). Fight the Yeerks. We call ourselfs the Animorphs. Animal Morphers. The group includes me, Rachel, Jake, Cassie, Ax, and Marco.

I was stuck as a hawk for almost a year. I had broken the first rule of morphing. Never stay in morph for over two hours or stay in that morph forever. Only the yeerks caught me in my hawk body and changed me back to my normal self again, sort of. I may like a normal human being at first glance, but if you were to look me in the eyes you'd know something wasn't right. When the Yeerks demorphed me, I kept my eyes were the only thing that didn't return their original state. Leaving me with hawk vision. Lucky for my friends and I, they didn't see me in my final form. They ran out of the room because I was yelling so loud in thought speech. They still think that we are andilites.

Anywho, I'm sitting at lunch with Rachel. Our math books were open. I was pretending to tutor her. It was either that, or I had to sit by myself. And when I do that the bullys come and pick on me. Then I beat them up and get detention instead of vice versa. Thats not how it used to be though. They always had beaten me up, but I guess I got a toughness when I was a hawk. Added to the fact that I had to play the role of Street Trash as Visser Three so kindly called me (See book 23). I don't want to get into that story though. Pretending to tutor her was also one of the only ways I got to talk to Rachel or anyone else in the animorphs at school. We have to pretend that we don't know each other very well, for safety reasons. "Did you get the tickets?" Rachel asked. The dreaded question. Did I get the tickets for the Junior Prom? "Yeah." I muttered. I took the tickets out and handed them to her. I didn't want to go. I hate dressing up. Tuxes. I shuddered at the thought. "You don't sound to happy." She said as she eyed the tickets. "Oh I am." I lied. "I was just thinking." She cocked an eyebrow. "Really. About what?" Busted. "Oh, stuff." I said. "If you don't want to go that's fine...." Rachel began. "No. I want to go." I said more enthusiasticly than I should have. "You sure?" She asked. "Absolutely." I plastered a smile on my face. I casually pointed at the text book with my pen like I did every so often. "Hey dweeb." I heard someone sneer from behind. I sighed. It was Luke. He was the leader of the group of bullies in the grade. "I take it you were talking to me." "Oh course. What are you two doing?" He asked. He picked up my book. "Algebra huh?" "Are you here to talk or to get your butt kicked again?" I asked impatiently. "Neither." Luke replied. "I'm not the one who's going to get their butt kicked." "Wanna' make a bet?" I asked. "Sure. How about those tickets." Luke said. "They aren't mine." I said casually. "Okay then. How about something else......I win, I get a weeks worth of homework. You win I leave you alone for a week." He proposed. "I win I get two weeks of being left alone." I said. "one." "two." "one." "two." I spat out impatiently. I glared at him. "two, or you can forget it." "Your on Dork!" Luke said. "You don't have to do this." Rachel said. "Yeah I do. Watch my stuff for a sec. I won't be long." I said as I got out of my seat. I walked up to Luke. He's about the twice my height. It was like I was David, and he was Goliath. He's a lot stronger than me too. He swung at my face. I ducked. He swung again. I grabbed onto his arm and twisted with all my might. He howled in pain. "When are you going to learn?" I asked him. "You........Haven't won yet tweerp." He said confidently. I twisted harder. "Say mercy." I said, smiling that evil smile that I make when I'm feeling like a jerk (which isn't very often, only when Luke messes with me). "Never." I jammed my elbow into the side of his nose making it bleed. "Say it!! Or I'll take a scissors to your family jewels." "OKAY OKAY!!!! MERCY!!" Luke yelled. I was about to let go when Principle Chapman burst through the lunch room doors. "WHAT'S GOING ON HERE!!" He yelled furiously. I stood up letting go. Luke slowly got up onto his feet. "He started it." Me and Luke said in unison pointing at the other. I glared at Luke. "Miss.-------- would you please answer my question." Chapman said turning to Rachel. "Tobias was helping me study when Luke came here and started the fight." Rachel said. Chapman turned to Luke's gang of bullies. "Is that how it happend?" The bullies nodded. Chapman looked at me and Luke. "Come with me." I grabbed my stuff and followed Chapman to his office. I was scared. Not of getting detention. I've gotten detention a lot recently. No I was scared because Principle Chapman was a high ranking controller. I was afraid that he would stick a slimy little slug into my ear, and learn my secrets. Chapman opened the door to his office and held the door open for me and Luke. I walked in and sat down in my usual chair. "I'm very dissapointed in you both. This is the 3rd fight this month!!" Chapman exclaimed as he sat in his desk. "I'm especially dissapointed in you Tobias. This the second detention I've given you this week!! Before you left school you used to be such a well behaved young man." He sort of glared at me. He knew who my father was. All the yeerks did. My father was Prince Elfangor. He was a great andilite warrior. The yeerks had found a letter from him to me. They had made a plan to take me and make me one of them. Visser Three pretended to be my cousin, and had that he wanted to adopt me. A lawyer read me the note, and I acted like I didn't give a royal rip about it. Good thing too. Otherwise I would be one of them right now, and so would my friends. The yeerks expected me to be a warrior. Not the "Trash" that I am. I zoned out on Chapmans words. They were starting to sound like those teachers on the 'Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show'. You know how all the adults sound like this: "Wa wa wa wawa wa." Or at least that's how they sounded to me. I became bored. Chapman always gave me the same lecture. Then he'd give me my sentance. "Wa wawa Tobias.......TOBIAS!!! Are you listening to me?" Chapman asked. "Huh?" I snapped back to reality. "I said. That I don't think detention is shaping you up, suspention either for that matter. And I can tell that your parents don't punish you very well, so I'm going to try something new." Chapman said. "Luke you can go. See you after school." Luke got up and smiled cruely at me. Chapman started with the talking again. "Tobias do you have ANY friends?" "Depends, what you mean by friends." I said. "I mean people that you 'hang out' with as you teens call it." Chapman said. "No. I stay to myself." I lied. "Oh. So you don't do stuff with your sister and her friends?" He asked. My sister is Cassie, but only by law. "No." I said quietly. "Well maybe that's what's making you act like this. You need some friends." Chapman gave me a fake look of sympathy. "Oh?" I asked. "Instead of doing detention I'm giving you the option of starting over." Chapman continued. "I would like it if you attended 'The Sharing' 3 times a week for the rest of this month. See if you can make some friends." "And if I don't?" I asked. "You'll be expelled." He said. "If you decide to go to 'The Sharing' our next meeting that you can attend is in a week. That gives you a while to make a decision." "But that's not fair!!" I protested. He leaned towards me over his desk. "Life isn't fair Tobias Fangor now is it." I swear those are the exact words that he had said. He had used the last name that my true father, Elfangor had used when he was passing as a human. "You know very well Mr. Chapman that that isn't my last name." I coldly and got out of my chair and quickly walked out of the office. I started cursing under my breath. "The Sharing" is an orginization ran by the Yeerks. It's like boy scouts and girl scouts mixed together. On top of that, they wanted me!! They wanted to make ME a controller!! Otherwise Chapman wouldn't have said that I had to go to "The Sharing." and he wouldn't have purpously provoked me like that. The halls were empty. It was the middle of class. I walked up to my locker and opened it, all the while cursing. I saw Marco walking down the hall. He catiously looked around the hall then came to me. "Hey man what's up?" He asked. While I was in the middle of cursing. "@#*&$^%@(#*$^%#@$!!!!! Oh nothing much. I suppose you heard about me and Luke." I said. Marco nodded. "Marco can you do me a big favor?" I asked. "Sure." "Can you slam my locker on my head. REALLY hard?" "Why?" "Because......" I started. Then sighed. "Nevermind." Cassie and I had been walking home in silence. Finally she spoke up. "Marco said you were pretty upset today. Wanna talk about it?" I shrugged. "He also told me about you and Luke today. Rachel said you went to Chapmans office." Cassie said. "Yeah. Chapmans threatening me." I said. "He said that if I don't go to the sharing he's going to kick me out of school!" "That's not right! He can't do that!" Cassie exclaimed. "That's not fair!" "I know. I....I don't know what to do." I looked at the ground and started kicking a rock down the road. I decided against telling Cassie how Chapman had provoked me. "If I go I'll risk getting turned into one of them. But if I don't.......What would you do?" "You know what I'd do. The question is what would you do?" I lifted my head up and looked at her. I shook my head. She wasn't helping much. Some people would think the answer is obvious. Screw school the world is more important, but there just had to be another way. I hate the thought of leaving school. What good is saving a world if you don't have a future in it? We arrived at the house. I hung up my coat on a hanger and entered the kitchen. I saw Cassies mom washing the dishes. "How was school?" She asked. "Fine." Cassie said. "Do you need any help?" "No thank you honey. What about you Tobias?" She wiped her hands on a towel and looked at me. "Okay....I guess." I mumbled. She probably had already gotten a call from Chapman. I prepared myself for the lecture that was going to come in about five seconds. 5.....4......3.....2..... "I got a call from the principle today." She said. "He told me about the desicion you have to make." She was waiting for me to answer. "I'm not going to that club." I finally said. "Why not?" She asked. "I've heard a lot about it. It's supposed to be really fun." "I don't care. I'm not going. It's not right for him to do that." I leaned against the wall. "It wasn't even my fault that I got in trouble.....It never is." "I know it's not fair for him to do that, but you'd only have to go for two weeks. It...." She began. "Hold that thought for when I get back." I said and headed out of the kitchen. "Where are you going?" Cassie asked as I was about to go out the door. "I need some air. I'm going for a walk." I said and shut the door. "A really long walk." I added to myself. I started for the woods. The door to the house opened and shut, and in seconds Cassie was next to me. "What do you want?" I grunted. Although I think it came out something like this. "Whatdoyouwant" "I was just wondering if you'd like some company." She said. "No thanks. I need time to think." We entered the woods. "I'll tell you when I want company." She stopped walking. "Just don't be too long. Dinners at 6:30. Okay?" I nodded and waved her off. "Yeah, okay, whatever." I kept walking for what seemed like hours, but I knew it was only like 1 hour. I had probably walked around three miles into the woods. "I guess I better turn around." I muttered. I turned around and started heading back home. I heard a twig snap behind me. I spun around. "Ax-man is that you?" No answer. It was probably just a rabbit or someother kind of rodent. Rodents. (Homer Simpson gargle). I started back home again. When I heard another twig snap. It was louder, closer than the other one. I turned around and looked at the forest floor. Nothing. Then all of a sudden a wave of dizzyness fell over me. I held my head in my hands and stumbled. Pain started in between my eyes. "What's wrong with me?" I asked the air. I fell onto my knees. Sleep A voice told me. It was like thought speak. Only it wasn't. Sleep. I shook my head. I couldn't sleep. I had to go home. Fighting me is foolish Tobias. You'll never win! The voice said. Then laughed cruely. "Who......are you?" I asked weakly. I fell onto my hands and knees. You'll find out later. For now just sleep. Sleep and you'll feel better. "But.....I don't...want to......." I managed to whisper before I passed out. I woke up in a damp, and dimly lite room. I was shackled to a very uncomfortable chair. "Where am I?" I asked myself. How did you sleep? Okay this is odd. My captor is asking me how I slept?? "Fine." I said a bit confused. Did you dream at all?? Why the heck does he want to know if I dreamt or not?? I thought. Answer the question "No.......who-" I began. You do not need to know who I am, or where I am. You have something that I want Tobias. "I don't know what your talking about." You don't? Oh I think you do. You have powers Tobias, and I want them. I shifted in the chair. "I....don't have any powers." Your lying. I don't want your wimpy little morphing power. You have something else that I want. How does he know all of this? I wondered. How? I can read your thoughts, your memory. I have what you call telpathy. I'm not a human as you've probably already guessed. "Then what are you?" I asked. That doesn't matter. Give me your powers now, and you'll die a quick painless death. "Do I have to die?" Yes, It is the only way. "Good thing I don't have any powers." I said. "Otherwise I'd be in trouble wouldn't I." Perhaps your powers haven't been unlocked yet. Stay there. "I don't really have choice on that one do I." I muttered. I sat there for a long time. Waiting. Waiting for whatever it was to come back. Unlock whatever powers I had (assuming that I had powers). Then kill me. Sorry to keep you waiting. This may hurt a little. The voice said crudly. A weird head piece came down from the ceiling and rested on my head. Then I heard a strange buzzing sound. "What the......AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I yelled. Pain was circling through my mind. My whole head started to throb. Then as suddenly as the pain came, it left. Sleep. The voice becond (sp). Sleep and Relax. You'll feel better. MUCH better. "I'M NOT SLEEPING 'TILL YOU TELL ME WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON!!!!" I yelled. Sleep. You know you want to. Sleep. "NO!!! I....." I exclaimed. My eyes were starting to droop. "No! I won't........." My eyes shut all the way and I drifted into a deep sleep. "Tobias........Tobias are you listening?" Rachel asked. I looked at her. She was wearing a beautiful long black dress. Her hair pulled back neatly in a long braid. She looked gorgeous. "Uh.....sorry." I said. I looked around myself. How did I get here?? "What's with you? You've been zoned out all night!" Rachel exclaimed. "Well I just said that the bus doesn't come for another 5 minutes, plus or minus. We should just walk it's not that far, and by the time the bus gets here we'll be there." I stood there and thought for a moment. Walking is much more romantic than riding a bus. "Yeah okay. We walk." We started walking down the side walk, chatting as we moved along. "So then I....." Rachel blabbed. YIP! YIP! YIP!!! I turned my head and looked at a snouzer trying to jump the fence it was locked behind. I stopped and started to watch it. Rachel rolled her eyes. "Dogs are anoying. Especially little ones. If you ask me I think cats are better." I nodded not listening to a word she was saying. I was confused. The last thing I remebered was being shackled to a chair in strange room with some......thing blathering about me haveing other powers besides my morphing ability. "Come on." Rachel grabbed onto my arm and tugged on it. We started up with our walk again. We were both silent. Rachel took my hand, and smiled at me. I smiled back at her. I felt a thump on my shoulder. "HEY WATCH IT KID!!" A guy yelled angrily as he ran past me. I looked back at him. He was in his early 20's with spiked bleached hair. He was dressed in black jeans and a black t-shirt. He looked very suspicious if you ask me. "Forget him." Rachel said. "I hate it when people do that." "Yeah." I mumbled still not really paying attention. There was something about that guy. Something not right. I just couldn't put my finger on it. I took Rachels advice. Forget him. I repeated in my head. "I was really worried about you Tobias." Rachel said. "huh?" "I said I was worried about you." She repeated. "No I heard you. Why were you worried?" I asked. "Hello! You were missing for like 5 days! Remember? Nevermind just....." Rachel began. "NO BODY MOVE!" I turned and saw the guy who had just run past us. He pulled out a gun and moved it from me to Rachel. "Give me your money and no one gets hurt." I reached into my pockets and pulled out what little money I had. "You too girl." "I don't have any money in my purse. All it has is makeup." Rachel said. "Oh really." He grabbed her arm and pulled her close to him. "Your coming with me." I was about to object when he brought the gun to her head. "Stay there or she dies." He began dragging her through the forest after him every once and a while looking back at me standing there making sure I didn't move. Once he was out of site. I went a little ways into the forest and morphed into Dude my old cat that I had aquired a while back. I hopped out of the pile of all the clothing that I wasn't able to morph, and ran after Rachel and her captor. I followed them deep into the forest. After about half an hour of trailing them they stopped. He threw Rachel onto the ground of the forest. "Behave girl or I'll have to punish you." He narrowed his eyes. "Severly." I said in private thought speech. She didn't move or look around for me. She just sat there. I demorphed, caught my breath for a brief moment, then remorphed into a black panther that I had recently aquired at the gardens. It was my second time morphing it. I lunged at the man. Knocking him down onto the hard forest floor. I backed away towards Rachel. The man pulled out his gun and started to shoot blindly into the dark. Rachel stood up on shaky legs. I focused on the man with the gun. I have to stall him so Rachel can..... I heard a scream. Rachel fell to her knees holding her stomach. I growled at the man. Slowly advancing towards him. He cocked his gun again and pointed it at my head, but I didn't care. He shot Rachel, and now he had to pay. I kept moving towards him. He squeezed the trigger. The gun made a CLINK. I asked. He looked around in the forest. "Who.....Who said that?" "Don't hurt me please!!" He begged. I growled angrily. "I....I didn't mean to!!! It was an acident! Honest!" He stammered. He started backing away from me. I ordered him. He fell down onto his butt. He sat there on the ground shaking. The man got up, and ran away screaming and stumbling. "Tobias......" Rachel said weakly. I turned and saw her lieing down on the ground. I quickly demorphed and went to her side. I knelt down beside her, sweat was on my forehead. I was exhausted from morphing twice in row, but I made myself have energy. You can rest later. "Rachel. I'm going to go get help at one of the near by houses." I said. "No.......please don't leave me!" Rachel begged. "Please don't leave me!" "Rachel you need help!" I protested. "Tobias.....please." She looked me in the eyes and started sobbing. "Don't leave me.......I........I don't want to die alone." "Rachel you aren't going to die." I said reassuringly. But I didn't really believe the words myself. If Rachel had been shot where I think she was, the chances of her surviving weren't really good. "I'm going to get help." "Take me with you........" She whispered. I picked her up carefully. "Hold on." She put her left arm around my neck, and she held her wound with the other. She smiled at me "I love you Tobias." I made the best smile I could. Then I started walking. "You should rest Rachel." Rachel shut her eyes. Her breath grew more shallow, but I hardly noticed it. Things were not going good. We were close to the edge of the forest. "Rachel we're almost out." I waited for her to say something but I didn't get a reply. "Rachel?" I asked. She was still breathing. That's always a very good sign. I thought. I began to move faster. We reached the edge of the forest. I stepped out. The streetlamp shining down on us with an errie yellow glow. Rachel's arm dropped from my shoulder. "Rachel?" I asked. I listened. Nothing. "Rachel?" I listened again, but this time for a breath, not a reply. She wasn't breathing! "Oh God!!! Rachel!!" I put her down on the ground, as quickly and gently as I could. I tried everything. CPR, mouth to mouth. Everything! "No!!" I yelled. Tears started streaming down my face. "You can't be dead!! You can't leave me!! Come on Rachel wake up!!! Wake up dammit!! Wake up!!" I sat there and cryed for what seemed like hours. Hoping, Praying that this was all a bad dream. "Why God??" I asked. "Why do you do this to me? Everytime I have something good come into my life you always take it away!" I started breathing heavily from the anger, from the hurt. Then I whispered quietly. "What did I ever do to you?" I sat there in silence. Hopeing for a reply to my questions, or for Rachel to wake up and kiss me tenderly like she had so many times before and saying that she was only joking with me. Nothing came. You have to live with it. You did everything you could. I kept telling myself over and over in my head, but it wasn't comforting. I rocked back in forth. Holding Rachel in my arms. After a while, I looked down at her prone form. She looked so peaceful. Pale, but peaceful. She was the most precious and beautiful creature that had ever walked on the earth, and now she was gone. I gave her one last kiss. A sweet farewell kiss. "Good bye Rachel. You were and always will be my one true love." My eyes snapped open, and I found myself shackled to the strange chair, in the cold damp room once more. "Was that a dream?" I started to laugh happily. "It was all a dream!!" Aw, so you did dream. Was it good? "It was a nightmare." I whispered. Recalling everything that had happend. How Rachel had left my life forever. "It was the worst dream ever!" That is just to bad. The voice said with fake sympathy. That was a dream of what is to come. "A dream of what is to come........You mean a vision?" I asked. "That was vision! No!! Can't it be changed?" If I kill you it will change. Otherwise I don't know..... He sort of trailed off. So, how about you just give in and I'll kill you quickly. "I can't die, and I won't." I said determined to get out of there. Darn. Well then I guess I don't have much of a choice but to make you suffer...... There has to be a way out of here!! Think....Think.....THINK!! Eureka!! A plan formed in my mind. "Wait!! If I have to die. Show yourself to me." I can't. You're in a different dimension than me. Duh. "Dimension?" I asked. Yah. I had to teleport you from your dimension to this one, just incase I had to unlock your powers. Which I did. Enough with these questions and requests. It's time. "Please just one more request." I begged. WHAT?! "I would like to die in my own dimension." I made the sad puppy face. Hoping that if he could see me, that that would make him feel sorry for me. Fine. The next thing I knew I was sitting upright against a tree in the forest. I stood up shakily. Is this better. "Yes, very much. I'll be seeing you." I said and I started to run like heck. Wait!!! I didn't listen. I just kept running and I refused to stop. I heard twigs snapping behind me. Something grabbed onto my shirt, but I pulled away. Never looking behind me, almost afraid of what I might actually see. If I could see anything at all. I reached the edge of the forest and saw the barn. Home! I darted out of the forest. I stumbled through the grass in the field. I fell down and started to crab walk away as best as I could. I noticed that whatever it was that was pursuing me had stopped. It seems that I have underestimated you Tobias. You're very lucky to have escaped. You're even luckier that I can only exist in the forest. Let this be a warning to you. If you set one foot into these woods your mine, and no amount of trickery will save you this time. I will have your powers Tobias. It is my destiny! You will never win!! Till we meet again. I sighed with relief. I got back onto my feet and ran to the house and raced through the door. "Tobias! Your home!" Cassies mom yelled happily. "What day is it?" I asked urgently. "It's been 5 days, where have you...." Cassies mom began. "Just tell me the day." I snapped. "It's friday." She said. I glanced at the clock. It was around 11 pm. I hadn't noticed it was dark outside till now. "Where were you?" Cassies mom asked. "Hold that thought!" I yelled and ran out the door, snatching a comb on my way out. I ran all the way to school, combing my hair as I went. I had to go to Rachel. Rachel was at the prom. I ran through the door of the school, and past the ticket ladies. "I'll give you my ticket later." I yelled as I ran past them. I ran into the cafeteria where the dance was being held. Inside there were a whole bunch of people. I felt extremely out of place. All of the guys in my grade were wearing tuxes, and all the girls were wearing long dresses that probably ranged between $80 and $250. I stood in the doorway looking for Rachel just as a slow song started to play. 'Pride can stand. A thousand trials. The strong, will never fall' A strong female voice sang. 'But watching stars without you my soul cries.' I spotted Rachel sitting in a chair. Some guy went and asked if she wanted to dance, but she waved him off. I saw him make his offer again. She hesitated a moment, then clenched her fist. Threatening to punch him in the stomach, or worse. He backed away slowly and quickly retreated to find someone else to dance with. Rachel looked really pissed off and upset. Dissapointed. I wonder if she actually thought that I'd stand her up on possibly the most important event of our highschool lives?? She looked down at the floor. I saw her shoulders go up, then down in a sigh. I saw a small tear trickle down her face. She quickly brushed it away. I walked up to her, and held out my hand. "Wanna dance?" "No go away." She snapped. "Are you sure?" I asked. I put my hand under her chin and lifted her head up, making eye contact with her. 'Cause I'm kissing you. Oh.........I'm kissing you.' She jumped up and hugged me. "TOBIAS!!" I held her close, stroking her hair gently. We began to rock back and forth. Getting lost in the music. Touch me deep. Pure and true. A gift to me forever Cause I'm kissing you. Oh.........I'm kissing you' A soft Piano solo began to play. "Where were you?" She asked concerned. "I......I...Ask me again later" I said softly. She looked me in the eyes once more. "Tobias..........I was so worried." "shhhhh." I whispered. I leaned in and kissed her gently on the lips. I began to pull my head away when she wrapped her arms around my neck. We kissed a long wonderful kiss. I pulled away, catching my breath. 'Where are you now?' Rachel looked up at me once more. "Promise me that you'll never leave me like that again." "I promise.........No, that's not right....." I brought my head close to her ear and whispered in it lightly. "I swear it." We sealed the 'promise' with a kiss. 'Cause I'm kissing you. I'm kissing you.' I didn't even notice that the song had ended 'till someone started to clap. "GO TOBIAS!!! WOOOO!!!!" Hearing this, I pulled away slighlty and smiled at her. She smiled back. I gathered her tightly in my arms and we kissed again, more passionatly. There was a loud "AWW" and then more whistling. "The funny thing is, is that she isn't even objecting to this." Some guy whispered behind me. "She's not even threatning to break his neck or something like that........ Like she did with me." Marco tapped me on the shoulder. "Public display of affection." He warned. We pulled away from each other. Opps. I forgot that no one was supposed to know about us being a couple. "Lets go get some coffee." Rachel suggested. "It'll give us a chance to talk." "Um....Rachel. I don't drink coffee and neither do you." I pointed out. "I drink coffee! Sometimes. If you don't want to get coffee you can buy some hot coco then." She grabbed my arm and led me out of the school. "There's a great place we can go that's about 3 blocks from here." We stopped at the bus stop, but only because I insisted. It was quiet so I drifted off into deep thoughts. Deja vou. This is exactly like my dream. I looked over at Rachel. She is so beautiful. "Tobias.......Tobias......Are you listening?" Rachel asked. "Uh sorry." I said. "What's with you?" Rachel asked. "Well I just said that the bus doesn't come for another 5 minutes, plus or minus. We should just walk it's not that far, and by the time the bus gets here we'll be there." I stood there and thought for a moment. Walking is much more romantic than riding a bus, but I had learned my lesson about trying to be romantic. "I know, but my feet are really soar. I was stuck in the forest for the past few days and....." I trailed off. "Fine.....we can wait." Rachel pouted. She sat on a bench and in about two minutes the bus was there. We got on and sat close to the front since everyone else was in the back. I felt really stupid because I was sitting next to a young woman wearing a long fancy black dress, looking absolutly perfect. While I was dressed in black jeans, a white t-shirt, and my leather jacket. My hair decently combed (I guess). I looked out the window, and I saw the snouzer that was trying to hop the fence. But most importantly I saw the man that would have murdered Rachel had we chosen to walk, and that's when I learned that the future is not carved in stone. You always have another choice, and it was then that I discovered what I was going to do about Chapman's threat.

Monday morning I walked into Chapman's office. "Hello. What brings you here this morning?" He asked trying his best to sound cheerful. Rachel's mom walked through the door after me. "Mr. Chapman." She said. She held out her hand for a hand shake. He shook it quickly. "Let's get down to business. Mr. Chapman you're being sued......" She started blabbing on about legal crap as she pulled out a whole bunch of papers. Chapman was stunned. I guess he didn't think I was smart enough to actually do something like this. Rachel's mom turned to me. "Tobias you can leave." I nodded to her and walked out of the room. A smirk on my face as I walked down the hallway. That'll show the Yeerks to mess with me. After the dream of Rachel getting killed, I began dream other things. The funny thing is, is that these dreams would really happen. Now the dreams that I dream are not as dramatic, but I have had some dreams that would give me predictions on how I did on tests, or other little things like that. What ever that thing did to me in that other dimension, is what did this to me. I'm still haveing a hard time deciding whether or not to thank him or not, and I'm really starting to dread the day when we meet again.
