Roger That

My Horse Honey

~Huna-furd, Huna-bun, Honey Bunny, Bunny Boy, Big Guy, Fatty, Bubba~

Honey, or Roger That, is an 11 year old registered Quarter Horse gelding! He stands at 16.2hh, is a sorrel with a star, snip, and strip, and was born on April 9th, 1988. Despite the fact that he is 11, we were told he was 8 when we bought him...(we bought him in December)His registered name is Okesa Matt (Go Lucky Matt x Okesa Mary for all you Quarter Horse peeps out there hehe)and he was bred in Sulpher Springs, Texas by a man named Louie Woodall. I have yet to be in a show with Honey since I just recently started riding again after my February 21st accident. :P dork-ness

Isn't my Honey cute?! Except for his neck thing :)This is the first picture of him I had scanned...here he is "wearing his body clipped colored coat."

As you can tell, Honey has a barage of nicknames! hehe I dunno why, they just keep popping out of my head! He doesn't usually respond to them...especially "fatty" :) but he *always* comes running over to the paddock gate when he sees me walk up/I call his name. Honey seems to "enjoy" being beaten up in the paddock. haha He quite frequently has a new nick or scratch on him. I don't really mind, it just shows their having fun playing around, right? It only worries me when he gets bigger cuts. (i.e. August 4th I found him with two "gashes" (not really worthy of the title gash) on the right side of his rump)

This is Honey and me during one of the first days I owned him. Wasn't his tail gorgeous?

My Bunny-Boy has got an adorable personality! He loves licking people...and I think the thing that keeps him occupied the most is his salt lick/mineral block. LOL The barn gave every horse two huge ones and he has these tongue marks molded into them..it's weird. ANYWAY Ang jokes "And this is my puppy dog Honey...."

Honey appears to really enjoy the company of his adopted "half-sister" Covey, and he thinks Breeze is pretty cute!
