Breeze and Covey haven't *always* been best friends, we just kinda...taught them to like eachother. We both got them at about the same time, and at first we couldn't even ride next to eachother without having to worry about biting, kicking, etc. As time went by, we slowly convinced them that being friends was ok, and they got to where we could walk and trot together with no worries. When we changed barns (to Crescent Ridge, yipiiiee!), we got there the very next day and there they were--in the paddock together (::gasp::, cheer)! Now, they're such good friends that they're almost *too* attached. Hehe, everytime I take Breeze out of Covey's site when I'm riding, Covey goes psycho neighing and running around and I hafta come back so she knows Breeze is ok :)
