The Real's Critters
Tony (male) and Butch (female) Summer of 1998
We raised Butch from the time her eyes had just opened and she fit in the palm of our hands.
Tony was given to us by some friends in town, when she had gotten to big to be in city limits!
Not sure which one is the "critter" here! *giggle*
When we raise these little pains, they are not caged. Pat teaches them to live in a tree.
and yes, it's a sight to see when the classroom is in full swing! *laughing*
They are fed with a regular baby bottle, and then weaned like any animal. Butch's favorite food is oatmeal cookies and Lucky Charms! And ya...she does pick out the marshmellows!
They usually aren't in the house...but there are "special occasions"!!
Sad to say, but we haven't seen Tony since about the first part of September. The price we pay for living on a main highway and trying to raise wild animals:(:(
Soon Butch's hormones will kick in and she will be off to make her family in the woods and we won't see her anymore. But such a joy they are for the short time we get to spend with them.
