This was Kevin Williamson's first written screenplay, Teaching Mrs. Tingle is also Williamson's directing debut. Originaly titled Killing Mrs.Tingle. This film is semi - based on a small piece of Williamson's life, his English professor told him he will never be a writter. Thats where the idea for this little story came from
