"So, let me get this straight. Zac asked you out?" Delia asked, confused.
"Yeah. He just said, 'Celine, I really like you. Will you go out with me?' The problem is, I have a crush on his older brother. And Taylor seems like he likes me, too. Unless he acts like that towards every girl; he could just be a natural flirt," Celine contradicted herself.
"Well, I don't think you should go out with him," Delia warned.
"I guess you're right," Celine reluctantly gave in. "I'm going to go call him now."
"Okay, good luck!" Delia cheered.
"Thanks. Bye!" Celine exclaimed, hanging up the phone. When she hung up, reality hit her like a slap in the face. 'Delia hates Hanson, why should her opinion care? She probably just doesn't want me going out with Zac because then I'll spend more time with him than I will with her,' Celine thought. 'I think that Zac's really nice, not to mention extremely funny. Taylor's two years older than me; he'd never like me! What was I thinking? I'm definitely going to say yes to Zac.'
Celine picked up the phone confidently and punched in the Hanson's phone number. It was picked up on the third ring. "Hello?"
"Hi, is Zac there?" Celine asked.
"Yeah, who is this, please?"
"Celine, who's this?" she asked.
"Oh, hey Celine! It's Taylor," he replied.
"Hi Tay! Can I talk to Zac?" she repeated.
"Oh, sure. Hang on," he cupped his hand over the mouthpiece of the phone and told Zac that he had a phone call. A few moments later, Zac replaced Taylor on the phone. "Hello?"
"Hey, Zac. It's Celine. I have an answer to the question you asked me earlier today," Celine began nervously.
"Well?" Zac didn't even try to hide his excitement and impatience.
"Well, if you really want to know, yes, I'll go out with you." There. She'd said it.
"Really? That's cool!" Celine could practically hear Zac's smile through the phone. She heard some talking in the background, then Zac got back on the phone. "I have to go now. I'll talk to you later!"
"Okay!" Celine responded.
"Bye!" Zac exclaimed, and hung up the phone with a loud click. Celine put the phone down slowly. For some reason, she regretted accepting his offer. She decided to call Delia and tell her the news.

"You what??!!" Delia exclaimed, making sure she'd heard right.
"I told Zac I'd go out with him," Celine repeated simply.
"Why? I thought you were in love with Taylor."
"I was not in love. Like you said, he's two years older than me, anyway. He'd never like me!" Celine assured her.
"You're one strange girl, Lina. But don't say I didn't warn you," Delia said mysteriously.
"Warn me? About what?" Celine wondered.
"About going out with Zac. I told you to turn him down, didn't I?" Delia demanded in an I-told-you-so kind of voice.
"Whatever, Del. I need time to think. I'll call you back later," Celine replied, setting her cordless phone back in its cradle.
