Jimmy

If there was any other man in Lou's life who could have won her heart, it would have been Jimmy. Some fans say he did indeed "win" her heart, but the current goal is to stick to the facts. (If anyone would like to dispute them, you're more than welcome to write some fanfic stories ;) Anyway, Jimmy and Lou always had a special bond. Ever since Jimmy found out Lou was "a girl!" and admitted he found her attractive. Jimmy was a wild one, but his spirit matched Lou's so well, a stranger once observed that she'd be woman enough to ride side by side with Jimmy. But in the end Jimmy wasn't willing to risk Lou's life to give their attraction a try, and Lou decided Kid was the one she truly loved. Jimmy and Kid came to some mighty blows over Lou, but in the end, Jimmy walked her down the aisle, symbolically and literally giving her away to marry Kid.

Tyler Dewitt

Tyler was admittedly a bad man, and perhaps a strange one to put on this page. However one can't ignore the attraction Lou felt for him when she first met him. Having dressed like a boy for so long and only having known abuse while dressed as a woman, Lou very much enjoyed being admired and treated as the true lady she was. She soon realized Tyler's insistence in pursuing her would jeopardize her job, but she was just as attracted to him as she was frightened of him. He soon showed his true colors, and after Lou escaped from being held prisoner by him, she shot him dead. While this was a tragic experience for Lou, it helped her grow closer to the Kid. Aww!!!! :)

Adrian Dawkins

Adrian wasn't really a "love" of Lou's, but he gave her and the Kid something special--his life. Adrian was a prisoner that Lou and Kid were watching over until Teaspoon arrived. He had a very tough exterior, being orphaned and growing up "bad." He was amazed and inspired by the goodness in both Lou and Kid, who were orphans themselves. Very quickly, Adrian was able to recognize the special gift Lou and Kid shared. Adrian's one wish in life was to do something for someone he loved. And in the end, he gave his life to save Lou's so that she and the Kid could live on. Lou, who always seemed to have a tender heart for the "bad" guys, struck a bond with Adrian, and was very moved by his sacrifice for her. The most touching part of their short time together was the end when Adrian told Lou his first name...and that he died because of his love for her.

Jesse

Roses are Red, Sometimes they're hid I like you a lot, these ain't from the Kid

We knew trouble was coming the second we saw the lovesick look in Jesse's eyes after Lou gave him an innocent peck on the cheek. And although Lou was oblivious to the fact the boy had a crush on her for a very long time, Jesse fell very hard for Lou. Obviously, Lou could not return his feelings, and Jesse bounced back from his crush with the ease and vitality of youth. However, Jesse no doubt had a lasting effect on Lou. Lou saw an innocence and goodness in Jesse James that earned the boy a special place in her heart. Even as time went by and the James boys made their notorious reputation, we can assume that Lou loved Jesse like a little brother all her life.

Bobby

Although there wasn't much said in the series about Louise's youthful "love"...we do know that a certain young man by the name of "Bobby" did exist! In fact, he was mentioned in one of the classic episodes "A Tiger's Tale" from season three.

In a very sweet scene between Jesse and Lou, she gives him a bit of her own advice and it is then that she briefly mentions the boy in question.

She goes on to say that she liked Bobby (can we only assume they were in school together??) but never worked up the nerve to talk to him. Of course, like all forbidden loves, he moved away before she worked up the courage.

So thus is the extent of our knowledge of Bobby, and it leaves it open for debate as to what he looked like, or what he acted like.

Would Bobby have been a source of "competition" between the other boys...especially her to-be husband, Kid?? We'll never know. But we do know from this episode that Louise faced the same experience that all youngsters do...the thrill of a very first pitter-pattering-heart-fluttering crush...

And now you know the rest of the story!
