My Mother, Clara Louise Oliver,is the daughter of Clarence Carlisle Drown and Elma Hazel KIRKWOOD. She was born Nov. 27, 1931 in Natoma, KS. She is the eldest of four children. Her younger siblings included Allen Carlisle, Myrla Belle and Arlyn Leroy. She and Allen were the only two to live to adulthood. She married Ralph Owen OLIVER, Aug. 27, 1950 and they had four children, Marta Jeanne, Michael Arlyn, Ralph Patrick and Christina Louise.
Clarence Carlisle Drown was the son of Hiram Melvin Drown and Elizabeth C. Stuart. He was born July 11, 1884 in Granada Twp, Nemaha county, KS. He had two older brothers, Elmer and Harvey. He married Elma Hazel Kirkwood on Aug. 29, 1929 and they had four children. He was a chiropractor, and he learned it from the man who invented it. He died Feb. 7, 1970 in Syracuse, KS and was buried in Natoma, KS.
Hiram Melvin Drown was the son of Daniel Drown and Hannah Kenniston. He was born around 1848 in Sheffield, Vermont. He had three older siblings, Sarah, Mary, and Daniel Walker.
