We took a vacation to Branson, summer of 1997. I was pregnant with Max. I wanted a "ole time picture" taken. We voted and they wanted to be "saloon girls". The ole time, black and white version is hanging on the wall in our living room.

I was born at least 10 years too late. I didn't fit into the Disco era. LOL

I LOVE BASEBALL

I work at a school for Developmentally Disabled children. We took the kids on a field trip to tour Kauffman Stadium (Royals Stadium). We got to sit in the pressbox. Go down and sit in the Dugout. And go into the visitors locker room. It was so cool!!! (I'm not sure which was best, sitting in the dugout or the locker room.) I wanted to walk on the grass, but the tourguide would not let us even touch the grass. Another group from our school went the next day, and a friend brought me back these blades of grass.

This is the view from the dugout. I think Kauffman Stadium is the MOST Beautiful Ballpark in the Major Leagues!!!

*****Cry, My Beloved Country by Alan Paton - very, very good book - Made me cry, several times.
****Where The Heart Is... by Billie Letts - Good, made me cry too!
****Left Behind the Series...except The Indwelling...it was a waste of time and money. by Tim LaHayne & Jerry B. Jenkins -
The latest book...The Mark was pretty good.The Series is pretty good. I was loving it until The Indwelling...now I am apprehensive...waiting to see if they are just in for the money...or do they really want to put out some good material...
I would still recommend the series, but go to the Library and get it. The first one Left Behind really makes you think!

They make you wait too long between books. I wish I had waited until they were finished writing the series to start reading it.

*****Forgotten Fire by Adam Bagdasarian - Wow...this was such a good book. I couldn't put it down. I read it in 3 evenings...stayed up way too late, but it was worth it.

I like books that touch your heart, create thought. Books that have good endings. For every 1 book that I liked, I read maybe 4 that I didn't...Oprah, and I do not have the same taste in books...lol...

The BIBLE is my favorite book.
I have read it cover to cover once. It took me almost a year. It was my goal after my son died, to read the whole thing, cover to cover. Leviticus was the most difficult Book of The Bible to get through.
