"The Kid"

The riders get into a food fight, and someone flings mashed potatoes at Lou's ear. In the next shot, the mashed potatoes are gone, even though it's still the same scene and the potatoes have had no time to fall off. Kara Larson

Right after Teaspoon says, "This is a good onion," Lou makes a hiccup/belching sound with her mouth. It is definitely visible that something of the kind did happen... check it out! Shannon Sauer

When Kid goes to ask Teaspoon about women, Teaspoon says he has been married, three times to white women and two times to Indians. That makes five times. But in other episodes, Teaspoon says he was married six times. So when was the sixth time? Did he have a short marriage between seasons or something? Aimee Lavigne

After the outlaws have escaped from jail, we see Kid riding Katy. When the outlaws confront Kid, he takes off running. When Katy is shot, you can see that this is a different horse. Also, this horse has a noseband on its bridle, while the regular Katy never does. Lady In Red

In the scene where Lou is shot by the outlaws, we see them stealing all the horses in the paddock. In one shot we see one of the outlaws riding away leading Katy and galloping up a hill, away from the Way Station. Then the camera moves down to look at Lou's face and we see another outlaw on a horse just starting to lead Katy out of the paddock. But wasn't she already gone? Breann

"Home of the Brave"

Just after the fight in Tompkin's store, Cody, Lou and Jimmy walk out to confront Buck. The three of them rush up to where Buck is about to mount his horse and Jimmy's hat is hanging on his back. Buck mounts up and leaves and for a short second you see Jimmy's profile, now wearing a hat. In the next second the camera cuts to the three of them again, and, no hat on Jimmy! Philippa

Kid and Ike leave on a run. Jimmy, Lou, and Cody are in the corral feeding horses. While they are standing there talking, Katy suddenly shoves her head into the manger and starts eating. (Way to go Katy, popping up again! This horse knows how to get screen time!) Joanna

"Bad Blood"

When Lou is being held captive she asks her sister to hand her a nearby rifle. When Teresa first goes up to the window, her hair ribbon has fallen down, she turns her head to look at the rifle and it is still down. She then turns to face Lou, but when she turns around again, the ribbon is back up in place. Mel

When Lou is packing to leave, you see someone outside the door and it looks like someone who works on the show and not one of the characters. Name Unknown.

During the beige on Boggs' gunrunning operation, Buck is shooting flaming arrows at explosives and things are blowing up all around. At one shot, we see Boggs' workers running frantically from the exploding debris, and it looks like Buck's stunt double running also. He is wearing the same vest, hat, and pants as Buck is wearing!Beth Goodman

"Black Ulysses"

The riders are all sitting around reading the newspaper at one point and it looks like Jimmy is reading over the shoulder of whoever is holding it but, of course, he shouldn't know how to read yet! Jedanne

When Katy is tied up in a stall in the burning barn, in one quick shot you see someone's hand holding the rope, while the barn is supposedly empty. Suellen Butcher

"Ten Cent Hero"

Teaspoon and Jimmy are in the hothouse trying to deal with Jimmy's new reputation as 'Wild Bill Hickock'. Well, the scenes cut back between Teaspoon and Jimmy talking. In the beginning, the shirt part of Jimmy's long-johns is completely buttoned to his neck. Then I think you see him fooling with it and the top button becomes unbuttoned. The camera turns to Teaspoon, then back to Jimmy where his shirt is buttoned up again. Again, the camera turns to Teaspoon and back to Jimmy where his shirt is once again unbuttoned. Jimmy doesn't appear to be playing with his shirt buttons, and it was so hot that I doubt he'd button it back up again after unbuttoning it! Beth Goodman

When Cody brings the book back to the bunkhouse and Lou reads it to him, Cody's hat is on and then off and then on again when Teaspoon comes in and explains to them why the guy wrote it. Judy

"False Colors"

Buck and Ike play the 'find the pea under the walnut shells' game. During the disagreement over the result the money on the table disappears and reappears. Kathy

During the baseball game scene, Jimmy is up at bat. From the front, his shirt appears to be not tucked into his pants in the back. When the shot changes to the back, the shirt looks fine--it is all tucked in. It keeps alternating between being tucked in and not tucked in depending how the camera angle is. Beth Goodman

The riders are returning home from their night out with Jed in the saloons. The camera goes to the riders coming back to the station and it shows Lou dismounting her horse in the background. Then the camera goes to Emma who is complaining to Jed about how drunk they are. Then we see the riders again, and it looks like Lou is getting off her horse again after she had just dismounted already. Beth Goodman

"A Good Day to Die"

Buck and Kid are leaving to go to the Shaughnessy's. When they get to the door, Kid is in front. Next shot, as they come out the same door, Buck is in front. Kathy

The first time Curly says his Sioux name, it is 'Paheen Minija'. At the end of the episode, it becomes 'Paheen Mini-niha' and his mouth movements don't match the sound. Looks like he dubbed it in later. Kathy

Kid tells Emma to get Sam and meet them at the Scotsman's place. She agrees and moves to do so. This is in late afternoon. But they don't actually go till the next morning (allowing that gorgeous silhouette shot), while Sam and his posse never turn up. Kathy

When Jimmy and Emma are being told that they can't leave the Fort watch Jimmy's hat. When its a wide angle the hat's on, close up it's off again. It's more toward the end of the scene but it's quite noticeable. Beverly

"Hard Time"

The gang walks out of a building and Josh Brolin and Travis Fine are cracking up in the back ground, Gregg Rainwater turns and gives them a dirty look. Barb Wood

"Lady for a Night"

Lou's costume changes when Lou comes across the robbed freight wagon. She is in her red coat, but when they show her riding into town to get Sam, she's in her old hat and black coat. Oops! Julia Rogers

Lou is at Tompkin's store looking at a hat. The ribbon on the hat just happens to be the same material as the dress she bought in Blue Creek. This hat also pops up later on an extra at the dance in "In the Presence of Mine Enemies." Colleen Doherty.

When Lou gets into the tub at the hotel, she's supposed to be naked but if you look closely, you can see a glimpse of her tights. Hanny Greenboym

In the scene where Lou, Kid, Jimmy, Buck and Teaspoon are in Thompkin's Kid seems to be observing Lou from the wrong direction. She's in the far left of the store yet the Kid looks to his right to observe her actions. Shelly

As the gang rides towards the station, Cody says " The way I see it, there are ten of them and ten of us," but there are actually eleven gang riders. Melissa Focht

Cody rides the horse Gregg used to ride, the one with a big, wide blaze. Then, after half the episode, he is riding the same horse in one shot, then another horse with a thinner blaze! He says something like: " I´ll get you some oats when we get there." Then in the next shot, he is riding Gregg´s horse again! Gizmo

After Marshall Sam Cain gets dunked, in the next shot Thompkins is making his speech. You can see Emma rubbing a very wet Sam's back. In the following shot, he only arrives and Emma asks "What happened to you?" In the following shot she's rubbing his back again. Kathee Dijamco

When Buck is picnicking with Kathleen Devlin under the tree, he refuses some wine by saying 'Not for me, thanks." The shot changes mid-sentence. In the first shot he emphasises his refusal by lifting his left hand. In the following shot he's using his right - in the same sentence. Kathy

At the meeting Ambrose has a proclamation wrapped in a red ribbon. When Jimmy pushes Ambrose out the window, Ambrose drops the paper. Ambrose never picks it up and gets on the horse with Jimmy. Later, Ambrose shows some Indians the proclamation. Kelcy

When Ambrose is attempting to ride Powderkeg, Cody is at the gate hanging on to the pole. A cutaway shot then has Cody obviously sitting on the fence applauding, then he is back at the gate. The 'fence' shot was obviously taken when all the riders were watching 'Jimmy' (a pretty obvious body-double) trying to tame Powderkeg. The same problem occurs with Ike. Kathy

Jimmy uses the word 'okay' on several occasions. This word was not used until just after WW2, when US soldiers working in US-occupied Germany would sign-off on travel passes etc. with the intials O.K., standing for the German Olle Korrekt - all correct. It then passed into slang use, but is now regarded as everyday English. Kathy

In the gun-battle, Ike removes his scarf and you can clearly see his scalp has just a little regrowth on it. Kathy

Kid, Buck, Ike, and Jimmy ride off to Ft. Laramie from Sweetwater first thing in the morning. It's a beautiful shot of the riders galloping toward the camera with the sun rising behind them. Unfortunately, Laramie was to the EAST of Sweetwater so they should have been riding TOWARD the rising sun!! Jedanne

Not really a mistake, I guess, but watch the part after the barfight when Buck is standing outside talking to Teaspoon's old girlfriend about the Alamo. She's talking serious stuff and he can't keep his eyes off her chest! His whole head keeps dipping down for a look and he's got this silly grin on his face! Men!! :-) Lladywolf

"Gathering Clouds Pt. 2"

After Jimmy and Kid warn the town that the Hawk is coming, Sam starts to prepare the town. Notice in his speech when he tells the men to go get their guns the camera pans up and you see Cody and Teaspoon moving to help Jimmy and Lou to help Kid... but when it comes back down to show Sam behind him Teaspoon, Cody and Lou haven't moved... it isn't till Sam tells everyone to move out that you see Cody and Teaspoon move again to help Jimmy and Lou to help Kid.
