Said the blind one.
Do you feel what I feel?
Said the numb one.
Do you know what I know?
Said I, thinking I was someone.
With the noise of words,
the clatter of sound -
no one could hear,
truth fell to the ground.
Looking at me, with natural scorn
reason and logic did solemnly warn
of imminent danger, hardships and more;
when listening to someone of worldly decor.
Thou dressed proper, in thy priestly attire -
enticing the common to finance and admire. . .
Acquainted with God -
associate of men;
companion of money,
Self thy friend. . .
I pity your life,
and fear your avenue;
stripped and forsaken
Satan will warm you!!
Now, consider thy path,
for all is not well;
though life's now abundant -
your retirement's Hell ! ! !
