(written by Michelle) Jess awoke to her best friend screaming frantically at her, "The plane's going down!" "Damn it Jess, wake up!!!" Jade screamed. Jess's eyes flew open to witness a stewardess go tumbling down the aisle. The plane began to spin and tumble towards the earth as the overhead compartments opened up and their contenets were thrown around. Jade and Jess frantically clung to each other as the chaos around them continued. They could hear the last minute cries of, "I love you," being spoken by loved ones. Jess's mind reeled as she tried to comprehend what was going on. The only thing that she took comfort in was the fact that for once it wasn't her fault, that she didn't cause any of this. In fact, Jess reasoned, it was Jade's fault. If she hadn't taken this job and asked Jess to come along, Jess wouldn't be in this position. She would be safe at home in Philly in her small apartment in her tiny bedroom, unpacking the boxes that threatened to consume her. But who was she kidding, if Jade had gone without her, Jess would have probably been mugged and killed. She glanced over at Jade and realized there was no one else she would rather die with--well except a Backstreet Boy. Jess offered one last smile to her friend as the plane smashed into the unyielding earth beneath them. Jess felt Jade's hand slip from hers as the plane connected with the earth. Around her flew pieces of sharp metal, luggage, and pieces of her fellow passengers. The windows exploded, causing glass to meet flesh with great force. The sounds were as sickening as the sights. On the descent to the earth, the plane was filled with ear piercing screams; now there was only silence. The plane itself screamed as it hit the ground. The sound of the metal twisting and buckling from the force of the impact sounded like fingernails being scraped across a blackboard--it sent shivers down Jess's spine. When all the carnage had ended there was just the silence. Jess remarked at just how silent it was. There were no cries of help like she had imagined--just the unbearable silence. Amazingly though, Jess had not one scratch on her, she had been spared. But Jade, where was Jade? Frantically, Jess began to search for her, digging through the seats, metal, and dead bodies. She threw objects out of her way as fast as she could, she needed to find Jade safe. She lifted a seat with superhuman strength to find her friend trapped beneath it. Jess sunk to her knees beside her limp friend, desperately searching for signs of life. Jess cried aloud when she felt a weak pulse buried deep within Jade's neck and Jess then began to sob when her friend took a troubled breath. As Jess was hugging her friend, a hand tapped her on the shoulder, frightening her. She turned around to be confronted by Brian of the BSB. Before she could question why he was there, he spoke to her. "Jess, do you want the shrimp?" he asked her.
Jess awoke for real this time from her nightmare to find herself in her plane seat on the way to Orlando. There was no plane crash, they were still safe in the air. The people around her were still alive, and Jade wasn't balancing between life and death. In fact, it was Jade who was speaking to her. "Jess, do you want the shrimp?" she questioned. Jess, upon realizing she was safe, shook her head no and went back to her thoughts. The dream had shook her up, she was afraid to even look out the window for fear of seeing the ground come closer to her body. She closed her eyes and awaited their arrival safely on the ground.

"Jess will you hurry up? I don't know what's with you but you better snap out of it before we get to the house," Jade said to her friend as they walked towards the awaiting taxi. Jade noticed that since Jess had awoken from her nap she was acting strangely, a little withdrawn it seemed. Jade hoped that when Jess saw where they would be staying for the next month she would snap out of it. The people at Rolling Stone had shown her pictures of the house they would be staying in. Frankly, it looked like one of the houses that MTV would use for the Real World. Her editor had told her that she would be living in the same neighborhood as the people she would be interviewing. Jade was so excited, this was the opportunity she had been waiting for, she was just thankful that Jess was allowed to share it with her, even though it meant missing some one-on-one time with Eric Lindros. The cab driver interrupted her thoughts by stopping the cab in front of their house.
