(written by Michelle) "I'm not cleaning up your mess!!" Jess yelled after her soaking wet friend. Jess took a seat on the dock and with a lazy sigh, letting her feet drop into the water below. This really was a beautiful place, it was going to be incredibly hard to leave in a month. Jess made small circles with her feet as she watched the ripples she created move further away from their point of origin. It was then that she realized that the lake was not theirs alone, they shared it with their neighbor. The house next door looked exactly like the one Jade and Jess were staying in. Jess then realized that it wasn't Josh who had gotten them the boat, the boat was their neighbor's. "Jade's going to be so disappointed," Jess said aloud. Inside, she could hear her friend moving her luggage upstairs, No doubt to claim the big bedroom, Jess thought. There was no wind that day, but yet Jess shivered. She had that feeling you get when you are being watched. Looking around, she saw no one, so she pulled her feet out of the water and ran inside to stop Jade from taking the larger bedroom.
"Jade, it's not fair, you got the bigger bedroom back home, so it's only fair that I get this one," Jess stamped her feet defiantly. Jadejust stood their, staring at her best friend. First she had told her that the boat in their backyard wasn't theirs, and now she was trying to take away the bedroom with its own bath, including a jacuzzi?? "Look, I'm taking this room whether you like it or not," Jade said. "No, you aren't!!" Jess screamed, throwing herself onto the bed. The two were arguing like kindergarteners, but they didn't care. All they wanted was to take a nap after their flight, but first they would have to decide where they were going to sleep. "Fine, you want it, you can have it!" Jade yelled, storming out of the bedroom which was now Jess'. "Where are you going?" Jess questioned her friend, feeling extremely guilty. "I'm sleeping outside on the hammock!" Jess sighed, things weren't turning out like they had planned. Tomorrow would be a new day, though. It would be Jade's first day on the job and they had yet to tell her who she would be interviewing.
"Can I please speak to Eric?" Jess asked into the receiver. There was a fumbling around and then a tired voice came onto the phone.
"Hello?" it questioned.
"Eric? This is Jess, I was just wondering how you were doing without me?"
"Jess? Wow, I didn't expect you to call so soon, things are great here, how about with you?"
"Things are okay so far, but you aren't telling me the truth, why do you sound so tired?"
"Well, Skip, the older trainer, has me on this strict schedule and it'spretty tiring."
"Tell me what it is, maybe I can help," Jess told him, and for the nexthalf an hour listened to Eric describe a program that Superman wouldn'tbe able to do.
It was going to be pretty hard for her to be away from her job for so long, hopefully Jade would come out of her bully fit and things would look up. Something had to happen soon though, or Jess would be on the first plane home.
