I had previously saved the text of web pages to
MSworks, but i stumbled on a better way. This method will save
the text and pics to a directory of your choice. Really nice and
easy. I have Internet Explorer, I dont know if there is a
comparable utility in other browsers or not.
On the page you would like to save:
- Right click on the blank part of the page
-out away from pics or text. This will bring a dropdown
menu PICK -SELECT ALL, which will highlight text and
pics.
- With the cursor, click on FILE, in the
upper lefthand corner of the browser window. This will
bring another dropdown, Pick SAVE AS... This will give
you a directory window, Browse to find or make a new
folder, Open the chosen FOLDER, and click SAVE at the
right of the screen.
- The WEB PAGE is now saved to your hard
drive, pics and all. You can click on the file to view
the web page right on your puter.
