NV SERIES 2008/09
Welcome to the fifth MPG series. This came out in Europe in the northern summer if 2008. Among the hand-painted sets that have been issued with NV numbers is the Smurfs (presumably to honour their 50th anniversary). From this section onwards, the pages will be fairly small, as it was around this time that I started to scale back my Kinder Surprise collecting.

SMURFS (COMPLETE SET OF 9)
Thanks to Ulrike Degen for this special hand-painted set, which came with German papers. The German name for the set is “Die Schlümpfe total verschlumpft”, which basically means “The Smurfs totally consmurfed (confused)”.

SMURFS 2013 (COMPLETE SET OF 9)
This is a re-issue of the earlier German set, but with different papers, and the figurines also have different bases marked “2013”. It anticipated the release in September 2013 of The Smurfs 2 movie.
