Miss Jennifer-Diabla-the leader of the ICSR, the longest-running crime prevention group next to the Los Angeles Police in East LA-silently cheered as the ball drpped on Times Square, indicating that it was officially January 1,1998.It had been a rough year for the ICSR and she was praying that this year would be the one where Astronema and Tracer would be out of her hair.

Jennifer-Diabla picked up the remote, turned off the tv and walked to the mirror.She looked so much like Michelle Khan,it was scary; the only thing that separated her from the action adventure star being her long, luxurious hair, plaited neatly down her back. After checking to see if she looked decent, Jennifer-Diabla silently down to the place called The Courtyard.

The Courtyard was a simple setting with only one odd feature about it: a enormous boulder was placed in the middle. After removing her shoes, climbing on the boulder and fishing four candles out of her pocket, she began to do a ritual that she always did every New Year's Day for four years. After placing the candles on the four corners of the earth and lighting them, Jennifer-Diabla said a very unusual incantation: "Fire burns, Water quenches, Earth creates and Wind blows. Tell me things that no one knows." She closed her eyes and felt the tingling sensation of being transported to a place beyond imagination.
