MY BOYS
I had hopes and dreams
for my two boys
like all young fathers do
To throw the winning touchdown
or to do good in school
To take advantage of all the great things
this world has to offer
My boys would live like kings
and I would be their father
But as the sun went down
on that late Sunday night
All my hopes and dreams
would never come true
They’ll never throw a touchdown
or read a book
or live like kings on this earth
But as I cried holding my wife
I realized
they both wear crowns
and know more glory
than any touchdown or
educational award
They now have the true
and only Father
watching over them
So cry not for my boys
they are children of a King
