Well The Weakerthans have just finished playing a private house party (Friday March 24th) to about 50 lucky fans who raised $775 for a local radio stations fun drive. The University of Winnipeg's Radio station CKUW 95.9 fm had a fund raiser to help keep the radio statio open. The Weakerthans pledge was to play a private house party to the person who pledges the highest at the end of the fund raiser. Well Nettie and Jennie owner of this site got together with some other Weakerthans fans and raised $775 for the radio station and secured the highest bid!! The Weakerthans played 23 songs, which included two new ones. THANKS TO THE WEAKERTHANS FOR GIVING IT THEIR ALL!!!!!!!
