The Stanley Cup visits
Kansas CityJersey's Invade
Crown Center
03/07/04--Walking through the
parking lot at Crown Center today felt kind of like going
to a Blades game. Everywhere you looked there were kids
and adults sporting NHL jerseys all eager for a glimpse
of the Stanley Cup. There wasn't much advance notice on
this surprise visit by Lord Stanley, but the hardcore
hockey fans of KC got the message. The appearance was set
up by NHL 21, a local group determined to bring an NHL
team to Kansas City.

Two Records
01/04/04--Despite
missing one game, Steve McMahon still managed to break
the Damage Inc. team record for goals in a season with 31
during the 2003 campaign. The mark broke his own record
of 29 set last year in 16 games. In addition, he broke
the single-season points record by posting 40 points for
the year, breaking Dylan Goodwin's record of 37 set in
1991. Overall, Damage Inc. improved by one game in 2003
with a 6-8-2 record in All-American's C Division. Last
year, Damage finished 5-8-3 in its initial year of All
American league play.

Hits 100
6/10/99--Kansas City's Steve McMahon became
the second player to score 100 career WRHL points with a
late, first period goal in the June 6th opener. The
milestone came on a wrist shot from the blue line that
narrowly slipped past Hamlin goaltender, Brad Scott.
Rookie Don McKinnis assisted on the goal which came with
2:25 left in the first period and gave KC a 2-1 lead. KC
went on to a 9-2 win.
McMahon had four goals in the game and now has 103 career
points, which breaks down as 88 goals and 15 assists. He
hit the century mark in 34 games. Dylan Goodwin became
the first WRHL player to hit the mark two years ago, but
took 35 games. Goodwin currently
has 111 career points in 40 games.
