Don McKinnis tries to work the puck up the boards
6/10/99 Kansas City's Steve McMahon became the second player to score 100 career WRHL points with a late, first period goal in the June 6th opener. The milestone came on a wrist shot from the blue line that narrowly slipped past Hamlin goaltender, Brad Scott. Rookie Don McKinnis assisted on the goal which came with 2:25 left in the first period and gave KC a 2-1 lead. KC went on to a 9-2 win. McMahon had four goals in the game and now has 103 career points, which breaks down as 88 goals and 15 assists. He hit the century mark in 34 games. Dylan Goodwin became the first WRHL player to hit the mark two years ago, but took 35 games. Goodwin currently has 111 career points in 40 games.
